Making a Fun Trellis For Benjamin! Garden Answer Allie: We cut down a ton of bamboo last year that was invading our yard from outside of our fence and it's happening again. Hubby just happen to keep all the bamboo (all of it fit in a 5 gallon bucket and about an inch wide each and 6 to 8 feet tall) and had them drying out in our screened in patio. We talked about what we could do with them and this is a great idea! I've always wanted to do this but for some reason the idea never came up when talking about the bamboo we have. Thank you! My niece (2) and nephew (7) will be moving in with us with their mom while their dad is deployed sometime in the summer and I think the kids will love this!

Theres a really amazing episode of Monty Dons Small spaces, Big Dreams that this reminds me off. A father built a garden specifically for his autistic child. He focused on the senses so he clustered fragrant plants and plants with fun textures together with tall grasses for sound. I think he has chimes and a small water element as well.
It was a very immersive garden and his son loved it. A reprieve from the house and a safe play to explore his senses. Smelling the jasmine and lavender and rubbing his fingers on lambs ear and serrated leaves.
That would a really cool thing to incorporate into Benjamins garden.

Very cute. You my dear are so lucky, access to great plants and awesome soil to plant in. We live on a peninsula in the middle of a large lake and it took me over an hour, closer to two, to plant three plants
We have rocks and roots to battle with each shovel full of dirt we try to remove. I lived in East Texas so I was used to sandy soil and here its so hard to work with. I have only added raised beds the last couple years now. Maybe you can do a video on how to work with rocky ground. I love your energy and your smile brightens our day.

Oh, but a sign some place that says maybe, Benjamins Place or Camp. Print it on sold board or a silver of wood from one of those trees that fell down. GO someplace were they plain wood maybe. Just giving you some ideals, hope it's ok. I just love design.

I am a 2-year-old teacher and have been looking all over for unique ideas to send to my parents for resources, and this and the spaghetti planter have been perfect! Thank you for the great and unique ideas!

Add your Bunny Topier to his kid place. Where did you buy that at? Add a turtle somewhere. I think you had a dear in your shed from Christmas you could make a Topier out of that but take Christmas off it, lol.

Came on here trying to find your link for the bamboo poles, cause they are crazy expensive on Amazon, and of course you got them from the garden center! Haha any other suggestions on where to find them?

This is fantastic! Cant wait to build one when I have kiddos. What has been your experience with the longevity of twine? Im in a hot dry climate as well. I assume you replace as needed?

A kids life size fairy garden would be cute. Like a small village. And a pallet bottom for the inside would be great. You can make that. Slightly raised and then a rug over that. :)

Benjamin is going to love it! He is so blessed to have you both as his parents, he is going to learn so much! Very adorable teepee. Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful idea.
