Im guessing you decided to only amend the area you are planting in because it worked last year and its more economical? I was thinking why didnt she just buy compost in BULK and till it into the soil when they tilled the whole area? If you used compost bags, that could get pricey. But buying bulk could be economical. That way, you would already have compost incorporated into every area of your cut flower garden, no matter where you draw your lines the following year.

I noticed you planted the Larkspur, but i thought it was one that needed a cold stratification. What does that even mean? We live in a zone 5b in Cambridge, Ontario (Canada) and i put mine outside a few weeks ago and havent seen any action yet. So I put some in the freezer, but Im not sure how long i need to keep them in there. I dont remember if you planted them last year but i have had a hard time finding instruction on planting in spring.

As a very visual newish seed Gardner, it it so helpful to actually see you place a couple of each seeds in the ground for spacing and alignment learning, before you fast forward the camera to the zip zip of the reel. Is it possible to show just a few. seconds of regular time filming of placing the seeds for those of us who like to learn from your every step? Thanks so much for your patience with we newbies who have no clue!

When you said you wouldnt be able to put the benches in this year, it got me thinking that you should set up a GoFundMe for your garden projects! People send you so many gifts for mail times, I think it would be great if we could donate to the garden and see our donations put to work in videos instead of gifts. I know I would totally donate a couple of bucks so that I could live vicariously through your beautiful garden.

Sooo envious of the space you have to plant a cut flower garden! I loved watching it grow last year and Im sure it will be even more amazing this year. But Im curious, which plants would you recommend for someone with a limited space to produce the most blooms for the longest duration so that fresh cut flower bouquets could be enjoyed throughout the growing seasons?

Could you give more details on planting the annual phlox? I ordered 3 pkgs and it doesnt say anything on the pack except that you can plant ahead of time indoors and may also direct sow. Also lists the spacing. We are going to direct sow and we are zone 8b our temps have been in the 60s-80s during the day. Thanks for the help!

I love watching you get stuff done in the garden. Your passion for plants has really inspired me to step up my gardening game this year and start my own seeds. I can tell you've been gardening a lot this spring based on how dry and cracked your hands are.

You are so great at this. I had my man prepare the hell strip in front of the house and we are planting a cut flower garden. I am imagining how pretty the house will be full of flowers. And inviting the neighbors to cut too! Look what you've done: )
