Planting Some New Superbells for 2022! Garden Answer NSpector: Oh, wow, I know you didn't like the white garden in this area, I think especially in the sun, which is what you have most days. But the photo you put up taken on a cloudy day -- it looks magical, maybe more like what you were envisioning last year? But color will be great in this area too.
I have to tell you, this west side that you created, it helped me change my feelings about formal gardens. Truly. Right now I am favoring more informal gardens WITH some formal aspects -- I find that thrilling, actually, when it's well done. But just a couple of years ago I thought I disliked formality in gardens. You really help me shift my thinking, my seeing!

I enjoyed the 3 short videos just as much as the longer ones. so whichever is easiest for you guys is fine with me. It was fun seeing how the containers evolved over time and how your tastes have changed. It seemed like you were much more formal early on and now, even though you still like formal things, you have relaxed more. kinda like. what will be, will be. I think that comes with being a Mom now and learning that you don't have to sweat the small stuff. Can't wait for the updates. they are all going to look soooooo beautiful!

In this case, where you have a boxwood topiary in the center do you give it plant tone in the spring with the rest of your boxwoods and then follow up feeding the annuals with flower tone fertilizer all summer? I already feed my boxwood topiary with plant tone. Is it okay to transition to flower tone for the annuals? Will that be overkill for the boxwood? Also, how do you refresh the potting soil from year to year when it has a larger evergreen centerpiece? Thank you!

I'm excited to see how the Flower-tone works compared to your traditional fertilizing methods. I also had a question you might be able to help me with. I live in zone 9b and the past two months have been very wet (thunderstorm after thunderstorm. Am I wasting Espoma if I try to fertilize during this time? Is there a fertilizer that works well with rainy days?

I love that you broke it up in 3 videos- feels like you get more clarification if that makes sense. Also, I notice you don't plant vinca. Why is that? Perhaps, your season is too short for them? It is a heat loving plant and doesn't like a lot of water, and there isn't a need to dead head them. I know your summers are hot and dry. Just curious.

Long or short, love them all! I was browsing the recipe collection just last night and wondered the same thing about successfully cohabitating Superbells and Supertunias. I dismissed out of hand some recipes that I loved because the combo would be doomed to failure at my house. Might Proven Winners have suggestions?

Laura & Aaron, initially I didnt think I cared about the length of the video. I thoroughly love watching GA no matter the length of video, BUT, I really appreciated the organization of information you provided in each space with its history and all about the plants you chose for this year. So hope thats helpful!

BRING IT ON! The more videos per day, the better!
LOVE these 3 videos! The photos & descriptions of what you've planted in all these containers the past couple of years are super inspiring!
So excited to see this season's plant combinations grow & be BEAUTIFUL!
Thank you from South Africa

Hi Laura. Loved all 3 videos. Im excited to see how the containers are going to progress! Just wondering if I can use flower tone or plant tone on my flowers and containers to fertilize instead of the liquid one from proven winners. If so, how often do I fertilize the flowers and containers?

I think there's a place for longer and shorter videos. In the morning with coffee I have time for a longer video. A shorter video is great for an afternoon break. The longer ones are nice in that we get unplanned snippets of your day to day life and family moments. Thanks for the inspiration.
