Planting a Spruce Tree & Finishing up Planting Projects Around Town! Garden Answer Vlrissolo: Anyone listening, DID I MISS THE DAHLIA SEEDLINGS BEING PLANTED? NOT the tubers. Been experimenting on my own and was SO excited to see Laura plant dahlia seeds, but now zip! Where are they? How are they? Haven't heard a peep about then in over a month. They savings with seeds apposed to tubers isn't even comparable, especially since they grow so quickly and create tubers the 1st year. I'm learning a bunch on my own but would LOVE to see Laura's seedlings.

Glad you're having a day where you're just finishing up some projects. But I was even gladder to see at one point you said because of the heat you were really all in! Hey we got us a real human being here. All the finished beds look great and I love the raised beds for the children's center. But the ugly weeds and dirt on the other side of the fence it certainly is a relief to see some loveliness. Blessings on you both.

I wonder if the alternathera is a little more cold tolerant. I dont use sweet potato vines because nights are always cold where I live in Wyoming and sweet potato vine just doesnt thrive for me. Could be user error but I feel like it doesnt love the cooler nights. Hopefully this makes it to recap: . Thanks for all you do. Ive learned so much from you.

Hi Laura and Aaron! It was fun watching Benjamin steering the gator! I like the wonkiness of the spruce tree, it has character. The kids will enjoy the pretty colors in the raised beds, and the strawberries. The bird feeders will be fun for them to watch. The planters you did at the college will be pretty, too. Thank you so much for sharing!

Love seeing you both working together. I only wish I looked as bad as you look when I am a hot sweaty mess. lol You are even more beautiful with a splash of dirt across your cheek. We need more caring and kind people like you and your family in this world. Its just as windy and nasty here In Susanville California, so I feel your pain

Too bad they couldn't have the older children plant the raised beds as an outdoor activity with the nursery staff. unlike the commitment of caring for a pet, gardening is a valuable activity teaching nurturing at a very young age without the more devastating consequence ( of pet care for instance) if you get something wrong.

Every man should have a Laura in there life, beautiful eyes and so talented! Her memory of all the plants is extraordinary! Just curious, did you ever thing of using landscape lighting? Why limit your beautiful property to just day time viewing. I use Volt low voltage lighting. Top quality lighting built to last.

Would it be possible to fill the reservoirs at the very end of the season with vinegar in order to descale the hard water? Since its relatively cheap and effective for our hard water. Or drilling the extra holes probably works just as well. Love you guys!
