I love that Laura is the one getting down and dirty doing all the digging and planting. With her platform and reach, she could totally hire all of the manual labor out and film them doing it but she chooses not to! Please dont change that Laura, I love watching your videos and how you explain everything step by step while youre working. Its so humbling and inspires me to get down and dirty in my garden too every day. :)

Thank you for this video and the many others. This week I successfully hooked up the planters on our porch to drip line and planted caladiums, begonias, impatiens, and sweet potato vine. Its a white and green theme but dimensional with all the different shades of greens and variegation on the leaves. I would have never completed this project with success if it werent for you, Aaron, and Garden Answer.

Off topic, but at 8. 55 - I think the new view is worthy of comment. With the patio gone and the parking fence gone - Wow! I have been watching your videos and drone footage for years, but never really realized how close your barn and chicken coop are to your house. It always seemed further away before. I'm really curious to see what you do with this space now. You go, Girl - and Family!

I had to laugh about your irritated coleus. as I was walking out of the store the other day after paying, my (very full of plants) cart rumbled over a cracked piece of pavement and caused my flat of double pink begonias to jump off and land upside down on the ground. they were also very irritated! they will get over it and thrive now that they are in the ground!

Hi Laura and Aaron! The topiary planters by the barn will be so pretty when the plants fill in. I'm thinking the sweet potato vines might disappear later on. LOL! The shade porch pots turned out really pretty, too. Cheddar wanted a love, too. It's nice that the trenches are filled in. I'm looking forward to seeing the brick walkway put in. Thank you so much for sharing!

It still shocks me to hear other places are having 30 degree nights
We are well into our growing season here in Texas zone 8. My tomatoes are several feet tall! Everything is so green and established outside.
I would be going crazy if I lived in a colder climate I love the summer sun and our summer garden!
Your garden looks so sweet just waking up!

I really appreciate you showing how you trim the topiaries and it looks easy enough for me to do. I have the same trimmer I bought almost 2 yrs ago but never used it. I always end up with manual shears and pruners because the size of the hedge trimmer (and maybe the sound) scare me lol Im excited to try it! Thanks! - Zee, N. Cali zone10a

This is slightly unrelated but I still hope you can help, I planted daffodil bulbs in containers last fall and not one came up. I pulled a bulb out and it was soft. Do you think they got too much moisture, too little, too cold? Kind of a bummer. would love to know what I should do differently so I have success next season.

Lovely Laura, love your work! I garden in subtropical Australia so catch your latest late night. I get so much enjoyment sharing gardens in all the worlds environments. Yours is a beautiful creation and fascinating to watch its development. You and Aaron are a great team, America is lucky to have you both.
