Is it Too Late in the Fall to Plant? Nope!
video description
I'll come home with discount my plants and my husband just smiles and says 'the blue bag'. Which means biotone and a shovel and he'll dig and plant where I want. I tore my ankle right before your mom broke hers and recently had a flare of an old should injury so he has been making sure I don't overdue it

Have you gotten new Tulip Bulbs you will be planting? My huge order started arriving 2 weeks ago but the final 4 crates left today. I enjoy watch you do the Tulips and Daffodils! I am in Ohio, zone 6. I'm always so very happy when I get up, deal with all the Corgis (5 Corgis) and kitty chores(7 outdoor cats) and can settle back with my first cup of coffee and watch and learn from you! I thank God every morning that I am able to tune in a always learn something NEW! Have an awesome week! Be Blessed.

Crazy Iris in October! I also have one iris that decided to wait until late September to start blooming, and is still going into October. Not just one or two blooms on one of the reblooming iris, but dozens of blooms on two plants that have been in constant bloom for weeks now. I divided most of my iris this year, but not this one which is situated among other iris that bloomed normally. I will definitely want to watch and divide this very odd, super late bloomer next year.

Great to know you plant very late in the fall with success. I bought 25 new bare root roses from Palatine for delivery this spring. I potted them all up and planned to put them in the ground in the fall, when new beds were ready. The bed prep took longer than expected, and I missed my zone 5b last safe plant date of September 1st. I debated whether to overwinter them in the garage, but decided to go ahead and plant them all in the ground. Wish me luck!

I know you do not usually like to repeat plants from year to year but I have to tell you that sparkling amethyst there takes my breath. OK it has been so beautiful throughout the whole summer and now we re in October and it s so beautiful. how old you have to think twice before not planting that again because it s just too good. Thank you for sharing your videos with us I particularly like the hedge of the hydrangea.

I m enthralled with reblooming irises. I guess they have yet to catch on, although they ve been around for more than a decade that I know of. The first one I saw startled me so much ( I saw it in my neighborhood in Boise while driving) I almost wrecked. We have had one in our yard for about 6 years. It took 3 years before it actually rebloomed. I have pictures of it blooming on Halloween.

I didn't realize that you could see the Hartley from the pond area. I guess when I am watching your videos, I just see the area you're working around and not the surrounding areas. So, no matter where you are on your property, all you see is a beautiful landscape.

No worries on tagging flowers before blooms are lost. I know you have videos of every row. already.
Your whole land has been wonderful to watch as you & your whole team has transformed so far.
Please add more drone shots, and before & afters.

Good Morning Laura, Aaron and the Garden Answer families near and far. I'm from chilly zone 6b in Northampton, PA. I picked up two Azaleas last week. So glad I can still plant them. Excited to see what they will look like next year.

Good morning everyone. Happy Fall. Why not pop the hydrangea on the end by the grass and move it to the other end by the hibiscus to fill in your line? Every time I see a hydrangea I decide I need more hydrangeas in my life.

Laura, you have such a good eye. When I first saw the Birch it really was not amazing until you placed it in the garden! And I love the scent of Irises too takes me back to my grandmother s garden in Ohio.

So many pretty things! I want them all and my yard is a dot compared to yours! Lol - Question - how in the world does Aaron or Paul keep up with where you put all the new plantings to get water to them.

I'm on the look out for a nice yellow iris! So pretty! Quick question - how do you remove the leaves from your mulched areas without removing/disturbing the mulch too much?
