Getting a Start on Our Christmas Lights! So beautiful! And, Benjamin's tree is so sweet! When kids are involved, I've always thought there were two kinds of moms - those that grab the camera, and those that grab the broom. I always worked to be the former, but too often ended up as the latter. You're doing SUCH a terrific job with involving your kids, affirming all their efforts, and letting the not-so-perfect pieces not just stand, but shine! Great job!

Aaron is a wonderful model of a man. He immediately jumps into solving a problem like an adult. And Laura is right there backing up her man.
Aaron was also polite enough to make certain we knew Pedro's crew wasn't at fault.
It's just so heart lifting to peer into this amazing family's life.
Without trying, they are a testament to God's word.
The lights are stunning.
Thank you, Laura and Aaron.

Hi Laura, I think you and my daughter are so into Christmas decorating. When a Nordstrom s store was closing, they had a sale for display items. She purchased an 8 1/2 ft. White nutcracker. It took 2 trips to Toronto to pick it up. There is only one problem, their house ceilings are 8 ft, ha, ha. It only fits in my son in law s office which has a skylight. It may end up in their garden, like an 8 1/2 ft. Gnome. So funny.

So beautiful! White lights are my favorite, classic and elegant, and they suit your property well. Love the trees on the balcony and brick patio, and the deer standing sentry by the pond. Do you think Benjamin would mind if you snuck some lights on his tree? That way his lovely gift will shine at night, too. He is such a charming young man. Lisa

So now I have a question. Every time that you want to run a cord through that pipe, will you have to cut the cord and redo the entire thing?
Also, way to go Aaron on finding what you need so quickly. The two of you work so well together.
Benjamin is such a sweet young man. He has such a good eye for decorating.

Great job so far. Love, love Benjamin's tree and how proud he was of it. As he should. It was adorable how Samantha and Benjamin want to help decorate. I would love to see your trees you decorate in the house. You do such a great job. I never saw anyone put ribbon on the trees and now that is what I do and love it.

The all white adds a sophistication that your property has year around. The Hartley with colored lights around feels odd, so I am very happy you went with all white. Nothing more classic and timeless. Definitely need a tree in the sun porch, and your garlands on the balcony and stair railings. Lovely as always.

I love lights too but always prefer just white ones! When my kids were growing up, we had one main tree in our family room but we had a smaller 5' one in the upstairs hall/landing leading to the kids bedrooms. We let them decorate it anyway they chose -It was so special and great memories

There's nothing more pretty than a bunch of white lights at Christmas time. The deer by the pond look so good, and the maples, and the 2 artificial trees, and the Hartley boxwoods, the coop and the shed, can't pick a favorite! Did you pave a portion of your driveway?

Oh my gosh! The white lights are BEAUTIFUL. Will you put the lights on the fountain up by the house?
Also, can you imagine how beautiful it would look if you had your fountain in the south garden with lights on it as well? . Each year gets better and better.

I think outlining the grass walkways in the cut flower garden and a large tree in the center of the benches would be gorgeous. and a nice spot to sit and relax with a thermos of hot chocolate and a few blankets.

Do the cats not spray on your fake trees outside? I put a fake tree on my porch once. Stray cats came along and sprayed it so it obviously got thrown out lol such a waste of money for me
