One of the hardest things to do in a garden is have plants blooming from the earliest spring to late fall and I must say you do that VERY VERY WELL, your garden from early on is just so full of color. and continues month after month. June is always they say the best month for flowers in the garden. Your Hydrangeas are STUNNING this year, so much color, and shapes and textures. WOW just wow. (love your tee-shirt idea too) and in each video how many times you say the word hydrangea: -) Like you say there is always room for 1 or 2 or 3 more hydrangeas. Your passion for plants and living a good life with family is amazing! world needs more people like you for sure! After watching your video I have an urge to go buy a new hydrangea now, hahaha. Happy Gardening!

Hi Danielle, I just came in for lunch from the garden and have been enjoying your video. You made me laugh with your call out to the hydrangea enthusiast. I have been struggling with some of my hydrangeas and couldn't work out why. I've now discovered they don't like to grow near black walnut trees, of which we have one very big one. I will move them over winter to the other side of our property and hopefully they bounce back. Do you have any experience of this Do you think they will bounce back I would be so sad to lose them. Some of them I dug up from our previous garden in London and moved all the way to the Scottish Highlands. I hope your week improves - take care!

Love it all!
Years ago I planted an Endless Summer hydrangea on the north side of our house. It grew to about 4 feet by 4 feet and it was hands down the best plant in my garden. It produced large purple blue heads all season and into fall they dried in place and could be cut and used in dried flower arrangements. The fall foliage color was also quite nice on this plant. Highly recommend for planting in that tough north exposure. It would get some afternoon sun from the west which it did not appreciate and sometimes wilted in the heat of the summer. I would recommend a north and east exposure only if possible. Very showy and beautifully rounded growth.

Oh My-lanta, haha! Yes, grace truly is unearned forgiveness and love (Eph. 2: 8-9) I'm sorry that you have a lemony week! Take heart and enjoy the special painting done by your Dad in the book nook just for you. I LOVE hydrangeas too! In my SoCal, zone 10b garden, smooth hydrangeas don't do well, but my mop-heads are absolutely gorgeous right now! Waiting for my Little Lime to bloom as well. My garden is so small, I'm hoping that this mini version of Limelight will do well.

I absolutely adore you Danielle and I want a Tshirt!
Your garden is gorgeous and I want my own hydrangea room! Would you share how large that garden is I don’t think you have an incredible blush yet. I picked one up last year and it is spectacular! I planted 12 limelights against my home as a backdrop to my garden and couldn’t be happier but as I expand the garden I know I want more varieties! Thank you for also sharing hoselink- will check them out for sure!

Hi Danielle! I absolutely love your new hose. I, too, love to hand water, but your new hose is a wonderful alternative.
I do have something to add concerning your new hose.
Overhead watering comes with its own set of negative and positive issues. I would hate for your beautiful hydrangeas to succumb to fungal disease among other things! I know you will do your research. I water everything at soil level even when I use my hose! Your garden is stunning

Hi Danielle, you are the one who made me loving hydrangea more and more. I am moving from roses to more hydrangeas and lilies now. They are beautiful and low maintenance. I can spend more time to enjoy the garden. Your points are well made! I also grow cut flowers in my landscape because of you. I now have longwood garden membership and always think maybe I can run into you again sometime. We met at Morris arboretum last year.

Your garden looking just stunning! I enjoy following your garden video s different season from here in New Zealand but I love to see all the summer colour as we head for a more subdued time in our gardens and I love Grace how she comes into the garden and helps ( my ginger cat does that for me! I look forward to the next video and seeing more of your gorgeous garden!

when life hands you lemons go buy a hydrangea. I'm going to need that shirt!
Also I totally agree with you on grace in the garden. I started gardening at probably the darkest time my family. It has helped my spiritual and mental health. So many lessons in God's creation on who he is and how to slow down and value all he has given us.

Danielle, White Flower Farm has reduced its price on the Haas Halo hydrangea from $39 to $29 for a gallon pot. I can't find it anywhere by me, so I just ordered 2. Can you tell me how much light your Haas Halo's get They are just stunning, and I am trying to add more pollinator friendly plants to my garden. Thank you!

Over the years I've been following you, you've turned me into a Hydrangea enthusiast; there's always space for one more! And like you, I am simplifying my garden design. Don't stress about 40. you are still so young! I've got 20 years on you and still enjoy every moment in my garden. including weeding.

Last summer I planted a Ruby Slipper oakleaf hydrangea. the first hydrangea I have ever had. Something ate it down to a 2 nub. I popped a piece of chicken wire over it, and it grew back! Right now its about the size of a basketball with 2 big flowers on it. will keep it covered for a while.

That hydrangea room is stunning, Danielle! So happy Proven Winners has discovered you, as you sure know how to make them shine. I'd love to know what the bloom time is and for how long. I've a few hydrangeas, but would like to add more and would love to extend the bloom time.

Your tulips bring tears to my eyes with their beauty! The combination of that deep plum/black and that shifty glowing apricot! Ohhh! So pretty! And your hydrangeas are second to none. Honestly I was in awe listening to you name all of them. And Grace! Love that sweet girl

I am SOOOOO on board with the whole hydrangea tee shirt line! I love the when life hands you lemons, plant more hydrangeas one personally! I hope your week gets better. Being in the garden fills the soul. Thanks (again) for sharing your beautiful space!

Your garden has come so far in such a short time. I’ve been with you since the beginning and the change is beyond spectacular! Everything is balanced so well and you’ve managed to have so much beauty and not look like row crops. Bravo, it’s perfect.

You got me into hydrangeas, I bought a book on them with all the varieties, I've bought a few, I'm in the mid west so it's a challenge but their in containers for now. Yours are so gorgeous, they are an inspiration. Glad Grace is doing good.

I'm curious, does invincibelle lace or hoss halo hold in the vase as a cut flower All the hydrangeas are gorgeous! I'm in zone 4b, so it's a bit of gamble for me on the macrophylla hydrangeas if I get flowers or not, but I love them so much!

The purple and blue hydrangeas will add so much more interest.
Love the sky view hydrangea. my favorite so far.
They look a bit smaller so in the front would be great.
Loving your garden at this time of the day too.
Jo.
