Welcome to the fall garden walk n' talk! In this gardening video we're doing an informal garden tour of my cottage garden in autumn. My backyard is divided into five garden rooms - the hydrangea room, book nook, raised bed garden, main flower walk, and grace's garden. We will also look at the driveway garden, which is comprised of catmint, alliums, boxwoods, hydrangeas, roses, lilies, and yews.

Have you ever thought about turning the back wall of the garage into a giant wall of trellis from end to end and top to bottom, You could use 2 by 2's they are only like 2-3 dollars per 8 foot, you could make that whole back wall in vines, like climbing hydrangea and also for fast filler, sweet autumn clematis blooms all white in the fall, it would be a spectacular wall of color. How is your parents garden coming along How often do you water your raised beds I feel along of my vegetables dont grow as well as I would like, like small corn stalks. I have lots of compost in the soil and straw, but I feel I need to water more to be more productive. any thought on watering plants. Have a wonderful day in your garden.

Thank you for highlighting ground cherries. They are a fond memory of visiting my grandmothers garden in Leavenworth Washington. I remember spectacular TB iris, oriental poppies, forget-me-not, fall crocus, ferns, a corkscrew willow, and a beautiful mountain ash tree. I will be 60yo in October. My mother had the forethought to transplant her TB iris collection before the house was sold. We still have five varieties descended from that collection. I have added two dozen new iris to my collection this fall, but the old varieties still hold a special place in my heart.

Danielle, I planted 2 hyacinth bean plants on a trellis at the entrance to my raised vegetable and cut flower garden. The leaves on the vines are gorgeous but I don’t have a single bloom or purple seed pod! The seeds were new from Eden Brothers. What did I do wrong The packet says Hyacinth Bean Seeds (doesn’t say Purple in the name) and describes them as having prolific blooms in shades of pink and purple.

Love what you did with the arch! Your garden looks so lush and healthy. We need rain badly in my part of NC, so my garden is not as happy. But the hydrangeas have bloomed enough to provide dried flowers for wreaths and fall decor. Still dividing and potting up perennials, and collecting seeds, as I wait for the temperatures to cool. Great video!

Hi Danielle, thank you for your videos and knowledge. My parents gave me an Amaryllis 2 years ago and we moved quite far from home. About a week ago a flower stem appeared and I started to watch a lot of your videos.
Today I went out and bought 3 more bulbs. Symphony Carnival and Sonata Marula. I'm from South Africa.

Danielle the blooms on your arch are magic. So beautiful. The white sunpatiens are gorgeous. I grew a pink in a pot and it’s non stop blooms. Will be doing more in containers as I can.
Excited for your roses as well.
Thanks for sharing your beautiful gardens as always. Love to Gracie. Sandi

I love that spinach vine! I've never heard of it before, the leaves are so big and beautiful and wow that purple stem is so pretty! I'm going to have track down some seeds! Beautiful garden and such a calming peaceful stroll! Thank you Jill

You have such an incredible eye and gift. I'm not kidding when I say I would pay to be a part of a newsletter or subscription where you share what you are doing in the garden every day, a daily garden with me kind of thing.

As always, such a lovely and peaceful walk. Can you tell us what the pink dahlia is near the ground cherries I’m on the hunt for dahlias with longer stems for cutting. (Also, can’t wait for the roses in the new bed)

Another relaxing beautiful garden tour Danielle! I love, love the new gorgeous vessel in your garden library! It’s absolutely perfect for the space! And what a treasure to have your grandma’s articles compiled in a book!

People, are so kind, in this world, where, we have so much sad, bad. Someone, does something for nothing, and shows use all, that, there is hope, grace and, what is the greater, than all, LOVE,

Everything in your garden is so beautiful. I was thinking of you this morning as I watched the video from Longwood gardens about the history and the recent new construction. What a great video

Have you tried tiny quick fire It blooms earlier than little quick fire, beautiful fall colour. It just doesn’t have the fragrance and does not attract pollinators like the other quick fires

Beautiful garden. I always enjoy your walk and talk videos. I also grow purple hyacinth bean vines but the leaves never were that green and lavish like yours. I wonder why. So pretty!

Your garden is so perfect, love the way it's set up, you've done such a wonderful job with your garden, you must be so proud of your work, we could all learn from this so inspiring!

Such a clever idea to decorate the arches! You’re the reason I have an absurd collection of both hydrangeas and amaryllis but I’m grateful for all your inspiration!

Always an enjoyable walk through your garden. Question- with all the rain you receive, do you have challenges with your books in the garden library getting mildewed

Hey Danielle, I absolutely LOVE your garden! It's so beautiful in all of different seasons. Cute idea with adding the Paniculata blooms and dogwood to the trellises.
