It's time to add on to the off grid log cabin to make it more comfortable for year round, tiny house living, especially in the summer when it's hot inside the loft of the cabin and the bugs are bad outside. I'm working alone in the forest again, climbing on the roof of the cabin, carrying logs on my shoulders and using hand tools to build an addition for eating, sleeping when it's hot and storing wood and other supplies - it feels like 2017 again when I built the first cabin here on the homestead

Shawn, I have sacrificed just about everything to bring my three daughters and myself to Alaska. It has always been my life dream. I have spent everything to fulfill my dream as an Alaskan and Im so proud that I did. I only feel at home while at my cabin in the wilderness and I will be leaving my cooperate life too. My daughters are happy and I feel like for once in my life, I will leave behind something truly tangible for them. Thanks for giving us all hope and sharing your daily adventures of what life is REALLY about. Thank you.

I've been a, Johnny come Lately to these videos. I've been binge watching them as time allows. Sorry to hear of the injury you sustained back then, however, it got me thinking about what do you have as far as First Aid and medical supplies? I would think some sutures, butterfly bandages, and a tourniquet are a must have on hand living this beautiful lifestyle.

Congratulations on your release from the litigation, and congratulations also on your happiness and life choices. You live an enviously simplistic lifestyle, and I can only imagine how much different everything would be if you were in a suit and tie, corporate environment right now instead of in your beautiful hand built cabin in the woods. So, good for you.

You are literally my dad. He's just passed a week ago, but your dress like him, and he was always outside cutting wood, working in the garden, building things, landscaping, sapping off. outdoors stuff. Once when he was boiling the water, the entire field behind our house caught fire. Good times. lol

This guy's great. I put him on while working on the computer, cooking, mowing the lawn. Guy, your a legend! Can't wait to see what you build next. A hydro station for electricity or just operate some gadgetry, whatever it is, I'm sure it'll be great.

I only started watching these videos and me and my daughter love it. I haven't seen them all yet. But I was wondering what is the purpose of burning wood was? Also the square box in floor in main cabin. What is that for?

Enjoy your videos. Curious, I noticed you started with a Eswing framing hammer, now a wood handle, then another framing hammer. Bothering you elbow?
