This talk struck a nerve with me man. I love it. I am in a wheelchair and have had chronic health problems for years and I let myself go to 420 pounds and when I realized I was over letting my life pass me by, I decided to stop letting my health control me. I just turned 30, and I have lost 30 pounds, and in two days it will be a year since I drank a soda etc (I was up to 6 a day and stopped cold turkey) and I have changed my diet to no more than 1400 calories (per my doctor so I make sure I'm still getting enough to keep my health and nutrients up) and only eating meat I've killed or fish I've caught. It's giving me the excuse I need to go out and -grocery shop like a man- lol. I want to hunt and fish every state and a few countries. I went to Oregon for my uncle's funeral and ended up with sores on my foot (from pressure) and the old me would have stayed in bed with it up, and let myself get depressed, but I just spent 3 days of hard huntin for coyotes and while I didn't even see one it was totally worth it. I am taking a few days to rest my foot and keep it up because Its infected but I'm on antibiotics so soon as the swelling goes down I am going back out. (ESPECIALLY because there's a local rancher who lost 3 calves to coyotes the other night so I'm targeting those. My mom who is really cautious said I shouldn't go this last weekend but I told her, I have to go and live my life. I can rest after I'm done hunting, BUT if it gets so bad that going hunting or fishing kills me, then it was my time because if I can't live how I want I am not alive. Pulse or no pulse. I may have ended up with an infection but I caught it early and I had 3 days of great hunting with close buddies and if i have to take a day or 2 on my bed with my foot up so be it.

Hey ya WB! Chris, awesome video, awesome heartfelt talk! U inspire many, young, old, male and female. Many of us has, those of us that r older has for along want/wanted to to live this life, know these skills u show us, those of us who really want learn these skills come to u. I am 57 now, as a child I tasted this and that plant, shot a black bird wondering if I could cook it, but the fear of getting n trouble, i would have learned more then if we had cell phones that we do today. The young people (or older) that come to u today may not have a mentor n their life to teach them, so we come to u, u r that mentor we need n our life, I cannot speak others, but I can pretty much bet that the appreciate u as much as I, I learn a lot from u, if I don-t understand something, I ask (like y u soaked a beaver carcass n the lake, I don-t know y yet) anyway, u r the real deal WB, we all know that, those that dog u r just jealous, u r wonderful n my eyes and many others, u r greatly appreciated, these video-s take x which u make for us to lear
n. Now at the end of your talk from what u read caused u to shed some tears, u apologized, I see no shame (yes, Back n the day men were not allowed to cry, and to me that is bs) which blows my mind that it was ok for men to show love but not pain, to shed tears does not make u less of a man.

I'm glad we had this talk: ) does chris start with a K or a C, now the real reason i'm responding is because everything you said came from the heart and is true, truth matters and it's the best thing we can impart to our children and grand children, I have 2 grandsons' 1 soon to be 10, the other is 7. My daughter picked a solid, smart, outdoors man. He works hard, plays hard, and spends good quality time, and so does my daughter with the boys every day. He hunts deer on his own 28 acres and will often take one of the boys to the stand before daylight. Each one of these kids of mine is a special blessing to me and I thank God for them in my life. I'll be 69 next month and need some body work on this old frame, I'm looking forward to some great fishing trips with them and other outdoor activities. Hopefully these will be in Canada, I love the boundary and northern Saskatchewan. keep up the great work and cherish all the friends in your life both there and in cyber space.

Wow. Your metaphor about the boxes really hits home. It is very true and on point. If I didn't have to be in the city, I wouldn't. Hopefully in a couple years I'll make is out of here. We used to do a lot of outdoorsy stuff when I lived in Colorado, USA. Now I'm in California, USA and it sucks. (Yes, I would move if I could) The politics alone are enough to stifle ones growth. The homeless around here (dirty, useless druggies) have polluted the rivers to the point that it's unsafe to be in the water, let alone fish around here. I'm thinking it's time to plan a trip way up north where the water is less tainted. Thank you for what you bring to the world. It's nice to see that some people still think men should be men.

Wow Chris! Great speach brother! Ya know, you and Jeremy put out some great videos, u share lots of great info. Youre very entertaining and knowledgeable. But you really gained a whole lot of respect from me in these speaches. Especially this one! The messege youre are sending to our young is fantastic. I love it! But what touched me this evening was the way you stood up for us men. Some women cant handle manly man. Am honorable man. A man of old. A man like you and I are. My ex-wife tried to keep me from being this way. Thats one reason our marriage didnt work. You make me proud Chris! Thank you for being our voice, Brother! God bless you and your family!

Recently got out of a 2 year relationship with the girl I loved very much, she needed space. I take your advice on being yourself and not chasing women as much as I chased for her and seeked for her attention. I will do what I do best like working on vehicles, being active outside, camping out, grilling for my family and having a good time with my friends and family, I-m 19 and I know now that my quality-s and what I have to offer for a women will one day attract someone special for me. Thank you for the great outdoors content and for your opinion on boys and how us boys should be.

If you tried that Tender Quick curing salt I guarantee you you will be very satisfied with it you can do a pretty thick chunk of meat depends on how much you put on it like 5 inch chunk of meat and right in the middle of it after 3 or 4 days will be just Pink as can be after it's cooked very good I love it I would never use the number one cure because you going to be really careful with that stuff I don't like it

I've literally just stumbled across your videos and I think there amazing. But the best part is you've encouraged this city boy to get my rods out and the tent I haven't used since I was a teenager to take my boy and my God son out for a night or two on a fishing and camping weekend, hopefully my friend who's my god son's dad decides to join me and are boys on this real man weekend.

Religious man or not we all would have to agree we are under attack here. Our hopes and beliefs and rights to things are all being turned to advertised ways of life. It is up to a good man to find the good ways of life to interpret it unto his family and village in order to live a good life. But please find first where all this goodness came from. Semi old video but addicted to watching your videos. Live in the UK and wish I had the opportunity to hunt etc like to do.
