Cooking Cactus Wrapped Gopher Tacos!

Cooking Cactus Wrapped Gopher Tacos!

I set a bunch of gopher traps that are around the ranch in South Texas buried in tunnels. I show you how to find the tunnels in the fresh gopher mounds and how to set the traps to catch them as they move in to try to fix the damage. Once I catch one, I make a fire and roast the gopher sandwiched inside a cactus pad or nopal in order to keep the moisture in. This is cooking without any special gear and is primitive cooking at it's finest

or burning the hate off of every thing pulling out thorns and all the things trying to do you harm?

When you talked about bringing shorts to Texas it made me laugh. When I was younger I never thought about it and would walk through through the forest just plowing through and I have scars all over my legs from stepping into thorn bushes -

In mexico we call those -cactus- nopales and you have to clean them first, just with a knive take out all de spines and then you cook it. We eat the new ones they are softer than de old ones, just add some salt and thats it.

Tell Bob ( for future reference) to spray those ant bites with Lysol spray right after, won-t make blisters. I have no idea how or why, I just know it works. -
