I build a -0 turkey blind beside the -25 plastic cabin to hunt turkey.My goal on this camping trip is to wake up just early enough to get ahead of roosted spring turkeys for an epic hunt! I have noticed that this spring, the wild turkeys have been heavily using the area around the plastic shelter. They have been feeding in and around the shelter. Now I can't hunt out of the plastic shelter since it is see through, and the turkey's keen eyesight would give away any slight movement. So, I got the idea to build a really cheap turkey blind out of some left over plastic from the lumber store combined with some natural vegetation. I build the entire turkey blind totally for free. My goal is to sneak in late at night, well after the turkeys have gone to sleep on their roost for the night. I can then safely camp in the plastic shelter, and make my way to the blind just next door without having to wake up super early had I slept at home for the night. Find out how well I can trick turkeys! I'm really after a long bearded tom turkey, but soon find that I'm surrounded by Jakes and hens. I use yelps, soft clucks, and purrs to lure in the wary wild eastern turkey. Turkeys are in their breeding season, and the big male toms are looking for receptive hens, so they can be called in by using box calls, diaphragm mouth calls, and slate calls. I also use a couple decoys, a tom decoy and a hen, but a Jake decoy would probably help too. Birds roost up in large trees, often pines, or maples and usually in open hardwoods or near fields. You can find big Tom turkeys strutting to attract the attention of females

I-ve truly been in bad crap not in my back yard. In the Canadian north aircraft crash the most important thing was fire wood for warmth a ton of it that-s what you spent time on and water.

You need to haul buckets of dirt in there and pack it down so you can get your sitting position higher they'll spot you every time moving standing up
