I hook a massive black marlin on my last day fishing at Tropic Star in Panama! My friend Carter joined us on the boat today, and we began by trolling baits in shallow water- and it didn't take long for a dorado to come and eat one! Carter fought this big mahi-mahi to the boat, and we got it in! Shortly after, we got another bite, but it was a giant houndfish this time!
We threw him in the box and decided to head offshore to look for some bigger fish. After a few hours of trolling- we got a black marlin bite, and it was big! I fought this fish for over 30 minutes before the hook popped out of his mouth. It was devastating, and we went back inshore to finish the day with a large cubera snapper right off the rocks!
