After many weeks of terrible weather and massive waves, we finally caught a break and were able to go fishing for sharks from the beach. Josh has been very frustrated with the weather. October and November are some of the best months to go shark fishing from the beach in Florida. Jason from Southern Fin Apparel joined Josh on this shark fishing conquest. We were using finger mullet to catch our shark bait (ladyfish, bluefish, and etc.

Do you ever eat the Bluefish? I have found them oily, but perhaps you have a great recipe that reduces that oily taste. I catch Pompano in the surf, and love to eat them. By the way, I can't ever remember you guys catching, keeping, and cooking any fish. I would love to see a fish cooking segment, for fish like Redfish, Pompano, Mackerel, Snook, Dolphin, Cobia, Wahoo, and even Bluefish as I mentioned.

Hi, I do a little of heavy surf fishing here, finding it really difficult using my common type fighting harness with my long butted penn prevail. haha I get good couple of bruises after each shark. do you guys recommend any sort of gimbal that could help with long butted rods? haha almost done harm to the boys fighting my last tiger: D

Josh. last time you've went toThe inlet was the day after I had just gone It was way to windy and the current was too strong when I went but not the day after. I was so mad when I found out you just went there and I didn't see you After Christmas you should do a fan meet up there so we could all meet you. It would be a pleasure

Hi blacktipH, I love your fishing videos. Im a ct angler but every spring i head down to west palm. And every year i always try to land a 5ft plus shark from shore. Do you have nay spot suggestions for that area?

He's gotta be tired of answering the same questions about his rod and reel set up. check out tackle direct. blacktipH has rods and reels pre selected for you. in all price ranges from economy to top of the line

Hey what reel/rod/line are you using. I'm curious because I need a surf setup for sharks. Also, could you catch decent sized black tips with the Spinfisher 6500 V LL with a 10 foot Tica Surf Spinning rod?
reply

What kind of reel did you pull in that blacktip on? Also do you think a Quantum Boca PT80 reel would be suitable for surf fishing for sharks under 8 feet? 45lbs of max drag and 380 yards of 65lb braid.

Do people not know you can flip the handle over on a spin cast reel? Simply loosen the nut on which ever side it is currently on, slide handle assembly out, put on opposite side, reinstall nut.

Josh, great video Reminds me of certain areas around Pompano Beach, Jupiter, and Hillsborough Inlet. I bet the tarpon and barracuda moved offshore, if the surf has been that rough.

I was on a twilight boat once and i was messing with my reel, an empty hook barely dangling in the water and i kept getting attacked by spanish mackerel, lol.
