I go fishing with my buddy Ryan Nitz and our goal is to catch a monster shark in the river I dropped a mutton snapper carcass on the BlacktipH Monster Shark Rig to the bottom of the river. While I was rigging the bait, Ryan saw a monster mark on the sonar. Within 30 seconds, we got a bite The mystery fish swam back towards the boat before realizing that it was hooked. All of a sudden, the fish took off, and the line reel started screaming A monster bull shark splashed near the bow of the boat. Ryan and I knew we had a serious fish on the line I fought this monster shark on spinning gear for nearly an hour before we had a chance to catch it. Ryan and I jumped out of the boat and started pulling on the leader. From the depths emerged a real monster, a 400lb bull shark We quickly landed, removed the hook, and released the shark back into the river

bullies special kind of shark pretty much can handle any kind of water, salt, fresh, places in the world where they have been completely cut off from the ocean and thriving in lakes and rivers, all you need is a flood and they get stuck inland, not to many bulls here in Hawaii but we got some damn big Tigers, respect the tax man and hopefully he'll respects you, great video, hey what river u guys on, just curios

We catch the bulls on the riv at 41 & Collins in South Beach. They will smash your Tarpon, Snook, Cudda, & Jacks while fighting them. People don't believe there are large sharks in the water, until you pull up a large tarpon head with no body after a good long hard fight & enormous bite marks. I can't help but to think about the BULL SHARK when I swim in the ocean. It's 1 bad azz Croc with fins

christ, and to think there are white sharks out there that are potentially 15-20ft larger (possibly) out there is almost mind boggling. something about seeing a shark on the actual beach really puts there size/power in perspective. edit: i'd be a bit sketched letting a bull, of all species, go like that in knee high deep water

I don't see what the big surprise is. They catch them from time to time on the Mississippi as far north as Alton Ill. This is common knowledge I thought. Bulls sharks aren't no joke, they kill more people than any other species of shark annually. They're fully capable of living in salt or fresh water without a problem.

Goes from not wanting to fall in the water with it to jumping into the water with it. That shark must of been right under the boat if he would of fell in right there it would of gotten him quickly. If that monster was terrorizing my friend I would of been calling every sea food restaurant I could find

The species has been spotted 2, 500 miles (4, 000 kilometers) up the Amazon River in South America and dwell in Lake Nicaragua, a freshwater lake in Central America. Bull sharks have traveled up the Mississippi River as far north as Illinois and are regularly spotted in India's Ganges.

There have been bull sharks caught in the Mississippi River, 500 miles from the Gulf. They don't need salt water. I was questioning your sanity, since you immediately turned your back on the shark, after letting it go.

That is exactly how big I caught one in the keys on an inflatable paddle board. Dragged me for two hours over three miles until I waved down a boat and climbed aboard to finish the fight. So I feel you in the small boat.

You guys are nutso You need some kind of inflatable cradle to slip under a shark like that, once under inflate it with a compressor then tow the fish out to the depths for release from the safety of your boat
reply

Well dude I hate to say it but if you know sharks, only the bull shark can survive in fresh water for any length of time. It can also just attack you if it wants to in the shallows and cause a lot of damage.
