In this video, I fly to Louisiana to go fishing for amberjack and tuna on oil rigs with my good friend Captain Blake from Tripletail Charters. Blake and I drove 60 miles to an offshore oil rig and starred vertical jigging dropped for tuna. We fished around the drilling ship, trying different spots. The first fish that we caught was a barracuda. After the barracuda, I managed to catch four Blackfin tunas on the jig. The tuna fishing got slow, so we decided to travel to a different oil rig and try fishing for amberjacks. The first amberjack was an absolute monster This fish pulled drag so fast and broke us off in the wreck. After losing that monster, we continued fishing and I managed to catch the biggest amberjack of my life (55-60lbs) Louisiana is a fun place to catch big fish, and I will be back soon

I know it's going to seem outlandish of me, but I am against fishing and eating them. In fact, I am against eating anything that struggles to survive and has a CNS. Our goal as smarter beings should be to start a program that eliminates all torment. I became a vegan because I am making two statements: 1. I am against all torment. 2. I am now empowered with the voice of protest because I no longer knowingly participate in the torment of less intelligent beings. Yes, I eat vegetation, but that's only because I am protesting against my own demise. If I don't eat SOMETHING, then I will starve to death right? Out of protest against me starving, I choose to eat something in order to sustain my life. I choose not to eat creatures that have homologous structures and has a type of thinking process and a CNS If I had a way, I would take everything on this planet including myself out of torment. I think it's odd how almost nobody thinks like me. Indeed, at any given instant, no matter how rich or poor one might be, any one of us can become paralyzed and feel as though even a fish is lucky in comparison. We don't like pain. At least I don't. Therefore, I have chosen to never again eat creatures that probably do experience the same things I do. They feel sad, or maybe happy at times. They cry, and maybe feel laughter. I am opposed to all of the torment on this planet, and I am taking a step in the right direction. Why hasn't anyone started a technology program to interfere with the torment on this planet? Should we really just accept it as being normal? Well I do not, and now I do have a right to speak against my own suffering and to defend myself from those who wish me harm

Hey Josh, Brett from Niagara Falls, just started watching your videos and love the excitement you get with the monsters, just saw you were a local boy from Windsor. We usually strike out on the upper and lower Niagara River and Lake Erie and Ontario, actually went out today on the upper river, around Navy Island, and even into the chipawa river, we never have any luck, spinners, worms, jigs, rapalas. any advice for this area? We dont always go out in the boat, we shore fish as well. We are going up to our favorite area in a couple of weeks to Lake Simcoe, Lake Muskoka and the Trent Severn with our boat for a few days and hope we dont strike out there. Love the videos Josh, we are hoping to come down in Jan or Feb for a week to break up the winter, and hope to have one or 2 days of fishing, hope to cross paths. Cheers Brett and Jessica

Can you pls maybe start a tutorial series or fishing tip series I would love to watch it and learn you are an amazing fisherman and I would love to get tips from a proPS. I live in South Africa and we always go deep sea fishing in December at Witsand in the Western CapePs(again): Witsand's Breede rivier is where Jeremy Wade caught one of the biggest bull sharks ever

Amberjack will test your stamina more than any other fish, specially if you're using medium weight tackle and not expecting to catch one. I've taken people fishing that's experienced in catching big catfish that comes with an attitude of being able to fight big fish only to be humbled by a medium to small sized Amberjack.

Just got out of the hospital for a spinal fusion. You were the first video I watched when I just got back home I'll be recovering for a long time, so I hope to vicariously live through you for a bit. You always have great content

I'm surprised so many people eat amberjack. We have the charter service out of Charleston South Carolina, and every amberjack wee catches full of grubs, or parasites. Are good to fight but I don't eat them.
