I also am a fan of the egg sinker, long leader, and circle hook rig when drift fishing south Florida. The next time you're just catching the small Muttons like that, try increasing your leader length to 30' or even 45' for the bigger fish. You were teaching the little ones what NOT to bite that day. Like Capt. Quint in the movie Jaws says, He's a smart fish!

Hey guys. just so you know the fish you caught around 7: 15 isn't a trumpet fish. That is a blue spotted cornet fish. Caught one a few days ago in the surf in delray beach on a yo-zuri.

Great video as always.
Very entertaining to watch, especially when it's cold and I'm going stir crazy here on the Eastcoast, waiting for it to warm up so I can get out on the ocean.

Awesome video, especially the tackle time! I usually use a high low rig to bottom fish, but I always enjoy trying new rigs. Thanks for the tip

Just a FYI, the Trumpet fish you caught is actually a Cornetfish, the tail is a good way to identify it as such. Great videos. Thanks for sharing
