Glad you were able to get some life back in that sail, I hate throwing back dead fish. Salmon are a real delicate fish, every so often one comes up bleeding from the gills, but too short to keep. Oh well, crabs have got to eat too I suppose. If I had my way I would put a dink towards my limit instead of throwing it back dead.
If you think about it in the future, maybe verbalize your take and size limits for us curious out of state anglers. or maybe you do and I miss it.

this is funny to me, so Im 15 and I got fishing off of the coast of Galveston and go somewhere between 70 to 100 miles our to deep sea fish and we catch AJs this size all the time on jigs. Its true they really do put in a crazy hard fight that will put you to sleep!

My first time ever fishing in the ocean me and my nefue fought 2x amberjacks both around 35-40lb each about 50in long was way more tiring then reeling in catfish

Someone told me those stinger rigs are illegal but they aren't. Without that stinger you don't land that fish. They work even better for Dorado.
