OK, I used to fish off a pier in San Diego, Calif. at the Naval base there, snaged a Manta ray one time he took all my line off my reel, and I only had 20 weight mono on the reel, kind of ended my fishing for the day, but it was fun, I don't know why I didn't set the drag and break the line but I didn't?

Don't wish to widdle on yer bonfire but to fish in the Canaries you really need a license. These last for 3yrs and allow you to fish from the shore or a boat. I know most folk won't bother but if an agency guy checks they can confiscate your gear and theres a -200 fine too. Nice videos. Thanks.

Hi mate, I am going to the Grand Canary in August. I am planning to fish off the rocks and beach. Is UK bass outfit be okay or should I take a heavier set up incase I connect with the more exotic species? Any info would be welcomed

Fish gods always shine down on you sir, myself and a friend are thinking of heading Cornwall for the day, can you recommend any good spots to fish off the beach or rocks.

John that Painted Comber with it's painted lines on the gill flaps and large mouth reminds me alot like a freshwater fih we have hear in the states called a -Warmouth-.

Those File Fish and Clown Triggerfish have hard skin like steel mesh. The skin peels off real easy though once ya clever the top and bottom edge off.

I always have the most fun on light gear it's no fun otherwise. Long as it's max 3oz weight or a float set up the little buggers give a great fight.

To be a bit more specific that looked to me like a Canary Damsel (Abudefduf luridus. There are some 385 different species of damselfish.
