Well done, John. you're a natural fisherman. The being 'patient' is easier said than done when on a boat with several other anglers. If our skipper thinks there's a good fish snagged up then he might give it some time. I'm gagging to get out for a trip but it probably won't be until April for the charter as the boat's out of the water for some work for 6 weeks. I've loaded up with a large quantity of slow jigs and am going to give them more water time this year. Fishing vicariously with you helps to ease the lack of fishing trips. Might have to go fly fishing next week. Keep up the brilliant work. Max.

Hello Pal, surprisingly great clarity on the underwater camera.
I really enjoyed that bit, where possible I-d like to see more as it-s always interesting.
Some beautiful wrasse on that mark with the pier / pylons nearby.
Did you get many takes on the lures apart from the fish you showed?
Anyway, as you said, very few opportunity-s to get out at present so thanks for taking the time and providing us with another welcome lockdown video. Top effort
Best wishes to you and the family
Keep well and safe.
Matt.

Hi, is there a link to a video of an image of how you put together a rig with a hook, float and locked in lead? Just I only ever used lures for spinning or a double hook drop setup for bottom fishing. But the float setup looks flexible. Not sure exactly how to lock the lead in nor how to attach the float, how much line to give it between each part etc. Cheers and keep up the good work!

Definitely a lesson in patience and perseverance with the weather & the snagged fish John. You had a variety mixed bag even if no white eating fish. Liked the underwater footage too, am always wishing I could see underneath the boat to see their environment and how they're feeding. Thanks for another great vid -

never tried eating dogfish? cut the tail and head off, cut lines down that sandpaper skin, put in microwave 30 seconds or so and the skin peels off so easy like a banana - can then be cut into cutlets and pan fried in flower, little sprinkle of lemon - thank me later, you might be surprised

Every time I watch your posts, I enjoy your crisp clear beautiful British accent. Besides, it is always nice when the fisherman knows very well weather he got snagged or he feels that some kind of fish got the hook in the mouth and try to hold itself in a whole. Perseverance paid off.

John - If you are still looking for content ideas, could you show us more of the Lands End [Cornwall] area along with any stone circles or ancient structures in your area, especially when the weather offshore doesn't allow you to get out there safely? I'd find it fascinating.

You just got Merlined. I was Barbel fishing in the middle of nowhere once, a calm peaceful day, just me, the Skylarks and the trickle of water, when a Harrier T10 decided to scream over at 500 feet. Might have made me jump. A bit.
