I hope one day I can take a trip to AuSable. I live far enough away to have to plan the trip but not so far that a weekend wouldn't be enough time. I really want to fish in a legendary water like it.

That brought back lots of memories. My girlfriend and I spent a week there in the late 80's and went back once a year until we heard Fran Betters had passed away. Beautiful place in the fall. Thanks.

Very nice. I used to live just outside of Plattsburg and fished the Saranac River a lot. That was over 25 years ago and this brought back good memories. Thanks.

Isn't it the West Branch of the Ausable? The lower portion of the river fishes like the Madison. large stonefly nymphs & adults.
