Part five is a favourite of mine, giving you the ultimate in comfort even while ice fishing in -40, heaters! Nathan: Hi Jay! Fellow Ontarian here. There is nowhere to get 1 lbers refilled, but you can buy an adapter on Amazon for less than 10$ that fits on a 20lb tank and refills 1 lb bottles. I've had the same 10 bottles for over 3 years now and with proper care, they are still going strong. Saves a ton of money and a ton of weight in the sleigh.

Fantastic points, I have a Lil' Buddy and the Original Buddy with the adapter to a 20lb bottle, best heaters on the market for ice fishing IMO. I think you need to re-do your shop video, now that it's all put together, it looks amazing! I have all my gear crammed into a single stall garage, it's organized but not like yours!

I have a buddy heater and use a ten pounds propane tank and hose. Don't know how they make the hose but until I put a filter on my heater so much hose residue would cause me to have to take apart the heater and clean it out several times a year. Can't say enough about the filter as it has saved me from so much grief.

wood heat is another option if you have a hut that stays put. hard to beat the heat, good to cook on, good to dry your gear if need be. Propane though it really easy to use, setup, and take down.
Great series Jay. I sent you a email but it bounced back.

Believe the 'Flame King Refillable 1 lb Empty Propane Cylinder Tank' is the only one that is certified as being reusable (DOT Compliant. It has it's own system to refill it and not the adapter you get off ebay or amazon.

Personally I'd rather bring like 4 little ones ones instead of the 20lb propane tank. I can fit more stuff in the sled and that's an extra 20lbs on top of the 80ish that's already in there

This is a perfect compliment to my Friday morning coffee. So professionally done! Excellent points and information. Just edited. Would you please link that chart, much appreciated

With a $10 adaptor you can easily re-fill 1 pounders. Keeps weight /space down and ppl leave empty 1lbs canisters at most camp grounds. Re-use them and keep them out of the landfills

I bought an Eskimo 450i for this year. Im gonna modify it so I can take a portable wood stove out with me. Gonna make for some great camping trips on the ice.

I did realize the 20 pound tank was called the Sunflower. Makes sense. I have the smaller Mr Buddy Heater and it warms my 2 person pop-up blind great!
