Bass fishing season is coming to a close here in Nebraska but I decided to bring out the finesse gear and attempt to catch some pig largemouth with a Nelson Blengeri: Just want to say thanks for the lessons. Just started fishing with my boys in Skokie Lagoons after a 35 year break. Watched a few of your tubes and decided to use a spinner bait (I never used lures. Caught a couple of really nice Large Mouth bass and from what I saw, people catch mostly small pan fish. Couldn't be happier Thanks

I'm not better than you yay lol but I fish shakey heads ALOT tighten your drag a little wait three seconds to set the hook normally you'll feel a dead stop or the normal fish bite and set the hook hard I have the same reel as you but I have the rod that goes with it and it killer but keep fishing and spitting out these vids

what was the water temperature you were fishing in flair? I forget if you said it or not. I was wondering what are your recommended lures for cold waters? like 40-50 degrees or even a bit colder? I haven't caught a bass in almost a month and I'm dying to catch a few. my rods are crying out to me I gotta get some fish

Hey Flair, I have a really good challenge idea what if you make a homemade lure out of like wood or something and then you send it to Jon b or someone (could be me but I'm not a popular YouTuber) and then they send a homemade one back and who ever catches the most fish in a certain time period wins

Hello flair I'm pretty new to bass fishing and have really been enjoying your videos. Had a question I wanted your input on. what do you think would be the best all around line type and weight for my bait cast setup? (It's on a 7' MH) I only have one so I need it to be versatile.

Well in my experience with fishing clear water lakes or where the fish aren't wanting to take the bait I use drops shots or small shakey heads being that I fish east texas a lot for my highschool drop shots come in key when they don't want to take it

when ever a fish spits out a bait quick I basically upgrade the same lure, like if I'm using a rage craw and there spitting it out Ile put on a B. B. B craw worm cuz they look super real and are really well scented and they will hold on
reply

Try to add scent to your bait. It dosent have to be dip and dye just some aerosol bang that you can get basically anywhere is the best scent I've ever used. I get more bits and they tend to hold it longer when I'm around finicky fish.

Yea I experience the fish dropping it a lot. What i find what works is either following it up with a senko, or lifting the rod tip up and a lot of times the fish will come back to eat it, then set the hook as soon as you feel the tap
reply

You need to set the hook faster If they're picking it up and dropping it you need to be more aware of when they hit it more. But I don't want to sound like a jack ass, so do what you want Just my two sense.
