Using MINNOW TRAPS in My BACKYARD POND (Surprising Result) Gut Instinct Fishing Guides: If you put the spot in a more secluded area away from the roads maybe by the trees a few hundred yards away from the pond the bucks will come in more during the day. because it does no good if they are coming in at night.

This might sound weird, but I am an exterminator and now is the time of year you have to be most careful because wasp and yellow jacket activity is at its peek, because they are all trying to find food for the queen so she can lay her eggs for the winter.

You need to call your dnr or conservation department and report that deer in your pond could be something nasty like ehd or cwd and that could be bad news for the deer on your property so I'd definitely recommend reporting that
reply

You've got some decent bucks on camera, especially daddy, but the doe that died was probably from EHD it's been pretty bad this year. But hey at least it was just a doe and not one of your bucks.

But if CWD. Your pond is bad forever. The prion can stay in the soil and water forever. Better call the DNR. Better tested that never try. That can kill the deer population slowly but never can recuperate.
reply

I agree with a lot of the others on calling DNR. Also, when they come, you should have a list of other questions about the property and surrounding area. Loads of info could be obtained with that 1 visit.

Flair's just chillin in the best deer hunin state in the US like WOW ITS AN 8 POINTER. WHAT A GIANT. lmao I love when people appreciate smaller bucks and dont search for giants 24/7

That deer may have had Chronic Wasting Disease. It's like mad cow disease but for deer and it's spreading across the States. for some reason it causes them to seek water where they drown
reply

It mightve been getting a drink and lightning hit the water and it fell in when it died. I mean Ive had 5 cows die by standin in a puddle by a tree when lightning struck so.
