The reason why you don't cook with olive oil when cooking steak, etc. is because the burning temperature for it is far lower than canola or vegetable oil. Olive oil is better for salad dressings or other things that aren't cooked at a high temperature. I have often used the canola spray like Macey did. It's the exact same thing. The only difference is one is in liquid form and you pour it out of the bottle versus it being in liquid form under pressure in a can so that when you push the nozzle, it comes out as a mist instead of a straight up liquid. The benefit of using it from the spray bottle, is you use far less oil therefore it's healthier. If you think about it, you use it to spray pans before you cook/bake with them in the oven (like muffins, etc, but if I didn't have spray, I would pour a bit of oil on a piece of paper town and then use that to wipe down the muffin tin. I've never eaten goat, but apparently goat and pork are the most common form of meat consumed world wide. In third world countries, it is basically the cheapest, easiest and most abundant animal to raise, harvest and eat. My brother and his family lived overseas in Baku, Azerbaijan and there was a farm he would drive by on his way to work with goats in the field along the road. On his way TO work in the morning, he would see the farmer setting up his stand with his herd of goats right there and on his way home FROM work, there'd be pieces of goat carcasses hanging from a tree at the farmer's stand People would literally stop there in the morning and order their goat and then stop and pick it up on their way home at the end of the day We cannot imagine that, and my brother was shocked for the first few weeks, but then it just was what it was. Crazy huh? It was the most often prepared meat at restaurants, etc. too. It'll be a sad day when John leaves the team, but it's great that he and Sam will be by from time-to-time. It is great that you are taking on a new cameral man/editor. I wish you the best of luck finding the right guy for the job. He or she will have big shoes to fill (and no, that's not meant to be 'dirty', lol. Heather

Alpacas would be a great addition to your farm They are great animals and a lot of fun and super cool to watch, etc. They would fit in very well with the animals you currently have but if I may suggest one thing when it comes to alpacas, start off small, but be sure you have a couple/few of them. They don't do as well alone (being the only alpacas. Heather

Some animals tend to be greedy, Ricks problem might be that he isnt too used to sharing food w/ the rest of animals yet. Overtime this will get better but to fasten the process you can pile the food and make them eat is as one not spread it out.

Got goats, sheep, and horses in the same pasture. 75 yards away is the bar, 200 yards the other way is the shooting range. My spot has it all. Problem goat? Dont be sentimental, outside the bar is the fire pit and deep pit.

Flair, now that you have sheep you need to stop feeding your animals the all stock feed, and even the goat and sheep feed. They contain copper and sheep are not able to release copper from body and it will eventually kill them.

Get rid of the crappy feeders and buy some proper troughs and put them in the enclosure. For the amount of animals you're trying to feed you probably need 20ft of trough. also, that many animals really need about 2 acres.

Rub the meat down with the oil and then pur the salt and pepper on it. if you are going to use a spray, get a canister that you can fill with oil yourself. those are awesome for that.

Yes, go on a spot and stalk bear hunt. Bear is delicious. Oh, you should get boar hogs to raise and catch and cook. Maybe even get a bison to raise and catch and cook.
