Fishing the Flutter Spoon for Bass Offshore

This is an in depth look at finding bass offshore and then targeting them with a flutter spoon. I used a 4 inch LFT flutter spoon here. Peter: Hi Justin. In the UK we do not have L. M. B but fish for Perch and Pike with spoons. I find that adding an extra split ring ( making it two splitrings) between the lure and the hook helps keep them on, also converting to a single hook instead of a treble. Thanks for the great videos. Have you tried using large single jigging hooks on those flutter jigs? Being a single with a wider gape and more curvature it should stay in better. Also the saltwater jigging methods with having a swinging single top hook on the head of the jig.

Try rigging your hooks like a offshore butterfly jig. I think this will help for better hook set. We use to change out trebles to singles for tuna resulting in a better hook up ratio. Great vid. good luck!

LFG, IT's like you said, when you have your beautiful Stephanie out their with you for hugs and kisses it is easier to have a bad day and still be happy going home. It is fishing you know!

LakeForkGuy If you should look up William Wobbler they have an ice fishing series that has a lot more hook on the body. I use them up here in Canada for deep Smallies

LFG
If there groating it use a big EWG treble
If use a straight point
Also go big on hook
That spoon looks big enough for 2/0-3/0
