When the wind Kicks up like that in early spring, it usually turns the bass on, the water temp will change way more drastic than calm with same air temp. Wind is good in most cases, but I don't particularly like to fish in it. But I've had some of the best days of my life in same type conditions your in. 35. 56 with 5 bass, Only caught 7 bass total that day, but 5 were toads.

Damn, that's my PB. 7. 5 exactly. Mine looked a little shorter. But mine came in the spring on a green pumpkin 1/2 ounce jig with a craw trailer. Ate it on the drop. Thought I was hung up, then it started fighting after the second or third reel.

15: 44 There is a ditch all the way too the shoreline across to the right from this sunken chicken wire. Caught my PB there 9. 83 now mounted on my wall. Such an awesome spot!
