Catching DEEP Winter Bass Fishing Spoon & Blade Lures

Fishing for deep winter smallmouth bass using spoon and blade lures. Smallmouth and largemouth bass can migrate to deep water points, creek channels and ledges during the winter making it hard to fish lures that deep. This is when I like to fish spoons and blade baits to effectively reach deep water and imitate shad

How are STEPHANIE & Emmy?
Did you feed the Chickens?
How can I get one of those Rods?
Do you wear a life jacket all the time in winter fishing?
Does the ramp ever freeze up? If they do is it harder to get your boat out of the water? Did your truck ever slide backwards into the water when you took your boat out of the water & how did you resolve the problem?
When are you coming to St. Louis, Mo. or just coming to Missouri to fish?

smallmouth perfer colder and moving water, higher oxygen levels and they love swimming againts the current, builidng up muscle mass leading to them being dense heafty lads (i only have smallmouth and ocean run strippers where i am, no largemouth at all or other bass speices)

The cold weather smallies reminds me of the Northern Wisconsin smallie and walleye trip you did. Great fighting fish! Been up there a few times. Good eating fish from that cold deep water. Try a catch and cook, deep fried.

I ve had a lot of success by the pump station where you stated in the video. Double willow chartreuse spinner baits with chartreuse blades always work the best up in the rocks when the water it 75-60 degrees in the fall.

When I was a teenager, I heard that people were catching pike down river on spoons. So I tried it. Caught a nice sized northern pike. All my friends said I was nuts for trying where we were. But I showed em! Lol!

Loved the video. The winter has been a grind finding a pattern for me. Seeing the same thing you are as fish being super deep. Jerk bait bite is not on at all.
