I saved this extra lake snake skin to use on a home made hunting bow built out of hickory wood. This rat snake is not only a beautiful backing but also is great natural camouflage textig061: Been there done that was fun lesson in string noise, sounded quit till I watched the arrow fly around foot over deers back aiming six inches below the deer, hunting recurve prepare for a lot of misses! I eventually went compound for speed found out they can out move fast arrows, killed a lot of corn bottles before I learned to shoot where they will be, not where they are. Noise from turkey feathers flying in air is enough warning for them to jump out of the way before it gets there, that at 238 fps! Good luck it's an experience you will never forget!

I bought a recurve at a yard sale last year and at first I thought it was just a cheap bow I bought it for 10 bucks I bought it just to shoot small game in the yard and I looked it up and its actually a very old bow it's a ben Pearson golden sovereign lance 58 inch recurve and after buying a buckskin and black bow string I started shooting it and it shoots like a dream

Clay hayes and Tom Clum are great resources for people new to archery. Clay is a master bowyer and had a comprehensive course o the push archery website. Tom is a level 4 coach that take archers to the next level. Beginners especially benifit from his solid mechanics course that helps you beat bad habits and ingrain good ones while helping prevent injury.

For arrows I would definitely recommend victory rip tko. I would imagine you need 300 spine. And for fletching you can t go wrong with AAE max stealth. The steering ability, weight, and profile make them my favorite I have tried. Love the content, keep being you

Yep report the trolls, try keeping the full skin all around onece, inflate it drop your bow and shrink it around your bow material. Let it shrink quick fire blast of pumping but low hit. Clamp it and let it sit for a few days to mold around your bow.

I took on the same challenge a year ago and have got to say don t get so caught up in the building that you don t do enough shooting, when it comes time it s gonna a whole different feeling knowing what all has got into that moment

Weird you just put this out. I was just on 3 Rivers website trying to figure out what arrows I want for my recurve. Going to try to harvest my first deer this season with traditional. Great work on the bows!

For arrows I use Goldtip Hunter pro, fletching I use FlexFletch Sk 300, and I started using Iron Will Broad heads last season. I run a high FOC set up, with a 100gr insert and 200gr broadheads

I had my own archery shop for years, and I made allot of arrows. You are gonna want a helical fletching, to keep your arrow straight in the cross wind, and use vanes when hunting in the rain.
