Fished there many times beautiful area! Salmon Smoked with fresh vegetables or smoked with cream cheese on a toasted bagel.
Even better, fresh salmon cooked over a campfire with bacon, eggs and a cup of coffee at 6 a. m.
Crazy story, I chartered a 5 day live aboard vessel I split with another Dad and his son, unfortunately the younger got the penn international ripped out of his hands by a rather large halibut.
Fortunately, I asked him to drop his unbaited rig back down, luckily he snagged the line on the rod and brought it back up. The native Alaskan captain was ready to have a serious meltdown.
One in a million shot. Even more fortunate, we had to take safe harbor in a very remote spot when the weather got out of control.
Luckily me and my son got to fish areas few humans ever have seen with a zodiac, and b. b. q. cheeseburger’s before we left on the aft deck with afformentioned culprit

Thats how kids are man! Mine is 7 now and when she was little she ate EVERYTHING we gave her! Then at about 1 yr to 18 months she started being a little picky! I also would say we as parents are to blame, we were feeding our daughter much better meals than i remember having as a kid lol! I mean my daughter had calamari for the first time at 2 years old, was eating venison, elk, and salmon as soon as she got a few teeth in.

I love wild caught salmon and have many recipes to prepare this fish. The side dish was interesting. The current videos, the clean and cook part, seem to lack the energy and the level of enthusiasm in previous videos. I suppose that's expected. It's difficult to keep things fresh and energetic and not repetitious. Your child is cute. I'm curious, is Brook pregnant again

Hard to believe Lilly is a year old! Remember watching Brook grow and then she was here. So glad your success is growing and you're able to move up with your new boat and I'm sure it will serve you well. As a retired Coastie always remember safety first. It always needs to be intentional and not rely on luck. Time to get Lilly a brother or sister

what salmon did you have at the end it looked like silver. i’m curious what you thought of the difference between King Salmon and silver salmon because the flavor profiles are definitely different. King Salmon has a much fattier profile. Congrats on your fishing trip in Alaska, Sitka is an amazing town.

I took the family to Alaska on a 7 day cruise and being from Florida, I have to agree with you, it was gods country. Absolutely breathtaking. Went whale watching, saw glaciers and seals and went to the tundra. Definitely made me rethink all my life choices.

Poor babies. 8 more feet of center console, had to have it. Must be nice to have your fans afford you an upgrade to go along with your home. Mr. Beast junior. Yeehaw! Brooke and Lily, you hooked a big'un.

Catching a salmon in a river this remote and cooking it a few meters away is the dream. Food doesn’t get fresher than that, and the scenery makes every bite look better.

Great trip and video. Happy Birthday Lilly! Vic what a nice family you have and married into as well. Tell Fisher and his parents Jake's dad said hello.

Awesome. We've already booked a trip for June of '27. I can't wait, but in the meantime, we have pink meat Eagle Lake trout and they'll suffice.

This shit looks so goddamn fun! Love it Vic. Thanks for the vicarious living my man. I need to get up to Alaska and experience this myself.

Gotta keep that rod tip up to keep pressure on thr fish. Salmon rods are designed to operate near full bend to keep the hook pinned.
