I like the points you make. I eat sea robins occasionally (from NJ) but I don't particularly enjoy them as much as some of the other fish around here. My biggest problem with your video is when you say (=16: 00) you would choose this over yellowtail snapper. I don't even know how to respond to that. Keep those videos coming. And take me (a fan) out on a fishing trip with you!

Victor,
My mantra regarding fish that have large bloodlines or are traditionally considered to be fishy tasting is very simple. Milk, milk, milk! Simply marinate in regular milk or buttermilk. I personally use regular milk with lemon juice and it basically becomes buttermilk. Try it. And maybe do a CCC using this method.

This is very interesting looking fish cause here in Portugal we eat a lot of this species. They have blue dots on the wing like a butterfly. And we cook themvwith just flounder and egg. Just that and they taste great. we don't cut them. we just take off the guts. and straight to the pan

That's a culture thing, how you cook your fish? The trash sea robin, if you have to eat it in tokyo, as sushi, it will definitely cost you usd100 or more. It was consider as high class fish on the other side of the planet. Cook it wrong, it is trash, cook it right, it is treasure.

I learned about sea robins on a camping trip by a beach when I was like 5 years old. We watched a guy catch one off a rock pier, he wasnt being careful and got stabbed by its spines through his hand and had to go to the hospital

Whats with the blood line thing that's BS in most species except some tuna or palegics. Gurnard you can clean much like you did with the toadfish in a recent video. These are a very popular fish where I live.
