Recently we caught 2 giant Cubera snappers down in the Florida Keys. I decided to make a huge batch of fish head soup, as well as make a Cubera snapper jaw mount out of the bones. Cubera snapper have huge fang like teeth, and are the biggest snapper species in the world. They make for some of the coolest jaw mounts of any fish! Making fish head soup is actually pretty easy, healthy and is a good way to use all of the fish.
Surfn: I put a little 2 part epoxy on all of the super glue points after it s done to secure everything better. Over time the bones will actually secrete a little oil and it ll cause the super glue to fail. Date: 2020-09-09
