My buddy Ricky from FL FISHING CHANNEL called me up and asked if I wanted to go Tilapia fishing and there was no way I was turning down a tilapia catch clean cook! We got into an epic tilapia chew! These are Blue Tilapia which are an invasive species in Florida! They are not native to South Florid and there is no bag or size limit on these fish! Tilapia often get a bad wrap, because they are often farm raised in poor conditions. That is not reflective of all tilapia fisheries. Wild caught tilapia are delicious, with a very mild flavor. I made the tilapia into two recipes, the first is an aqua chile style ceviche and the second is a pan smoked Tilapia on the campchef woodwind.

It's a Lafayette and a succotash look excellent. But that's ceviche was kind of weak. I know it's a preference but I prefer much more vegetables stirred in and let them all marinade for a while so even the vegetables get the benefit of the lime marinade. The fish could have been cut up a little smaller also. About half as big as you had it. But once again it's a preference and I sure like everything else you make it was quite good

There might be two sides to the story but the one that's more correct would be the one that helps environment. Fuel efficient fuel back it'll be food for other animals it won't go to waste. You might not eat it but it will be eaten. So man up kill the invasive fish ignore the tree-huggers who think you should just let everything live. Doesn't work that way.

Tilapia is about the nastiest freshwater fish I've eaten and I'm a freshwater fisherman and ate most of the warmwater species. I fryed it and it tasted like a carp. They eat the same things. I just ate fried bluecat 30 minutes ago which is my favorite. I've heard it's better on the grill.

Those were mainly blue tilapia (though some coloring suggests hybrids. When I get closer to the coast, me and my family tend to get these, but I personally prefer spotted tilapia which I tend to catch in the Everglades a lot. Amazing catch and vid as always!

If they are invasive kill them u fortunately stuff like taliapia lion fish aren't going anywhere but we still need to do what we can to keep the population down so don't listen to the tree huggers bc they just don't get it and never will love your vids bro

Solution to the dilemma of killing and discarding fish, kill them and bury them in the garden as fertilizer they work great for everything you could grow, if you don't have a garden maybe you could start one would be good for the cooking side of your videos

It's just yesterday i watch ricky's video watching him catching tilapia in this exact spot. Now you fish with him. And i'm thinking i hope landshark would do this kind of vids. I'm almost feel you can read my mind it is crazy

If you kill invasive fish, and you are not going to eat it, then use them for cutbait instead of throwing them on the bank. I see too many stinky nasty dead Tilapia and Mayan Cichlids thrown on the bank.

They almost look like a Texas Rio Grande Cichlid people get aquariums and fill them up with cichlids and realize they can t handle them because they re too aggressive they released him in the wild

Florida needs to follow TPWD regulations and make you kill invasive species instead of releasing them. If you don't eat them or know anyone does use them for fertilizer or feed it to cats.
