In episode 3 of my Panama series, I'm guiding a new group of clients for yellowfin tuna, roosterfish, bluefin trevally, cero mackerel and a variety of snapper species. We take the pangas 10 miles down the coast to fish The Lump, an area notorious for topwater tuna strikes and big fish. Then I hop in the kayak on day 2 to chase some fish with the boys. As our baits start disappearing and lines start getting bit off, we finally realize there's a HUGE school of SHARKS below us. If you'd like to join me for a week of fishing in this incredible fishery

I landed an 18 pound female steelhead on the Lower Dean river with a broken tip of my rod; it broke off about a foot of my rod. Sage fixed it. Steelhead are not as strong or as nasty as the fish you landed! Great job! Must be a lot of fun. Arent you afraid that a shark might attack your kayak? Keep it up and be safe, Tom Purtzer

Need advice Robert: you have solidified my choice of boat. A kayak would be best for my style of fishing here in arizona. I can take it anywhere. What would be the best budget one to start with? I want a drive style something I could use in rivers lakes shallow and deep. I'm not going after sharks yet.

I remember the first time I ever heard of Mahi Mahi we were in at the Top of the Mark in San Francisco and it was listed as Dolphin on the menu and my mother ordered it, and my little sister
(4 years old) went nuts because mom was eating Flipper.

Hey Robert, What rod and what size reel are you using in the kayak. I have a 6500 penn spin fisher ssv will that work out there?

Nothing says a good day like an over stuffed cooler. I too fish from a kayak but mostly for giant flathead catfish on big rivers.

Filmography on this one was absolutely amazing! Particularly the slow mo of the shark landing and Adam's massive rooster.
