I linked up with the guys at Fish Village to spend 3 days kayak fishing around San Clemente Island, 60 miles off the coast of southern California. In this VLOG intro to the series, we're loading up 22 kayaks on the 88-foot Islander charter boat, which we will call home for the next 3 days. This video shows the process of loading up all our gear on the boat, gives a tour of the Islander and details our plan. Watch to the end for a preview of the first fishing episode!

Robert, I'm sorry but you continue to stick your foot in your mouth my friend. I'm envious of the life you live, who wouldn't. But as for me I'd want to be more sure about the remarks I make if I had the money to run around the world fishing. Again what I'm getting at is you are a role model to the kids bro! Your talking on your videos can be a positive influence on them. I started fishing at four and have been ever since, the reason is just this my mentors gave me truthfull information. Ok bottom line time Son, let's say that some kid watches your videos and someday goes out fishing on a kayak on the ocean, the same day he's drifting and a sun fish comes near. Thanks to your video here he snags it ties it to a line thinking I'm going to be the man. OPAH, ROBERT THE SANDWHICH YOU ATE WASN'T A SUNFISH BUT OPAH WHICH IS A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT ANIMAL. DON'T MAKE STATEMENTS LIKE THIS OR I WILL CLOWN YOU EVERY TIME BRO. I KNOW MY STUFF AND LOVE WHEN I MAKE A KID DESTINED TO SAY BE IN A GANG INTO A FISHERMAN. TIGHT LINES ROBERT. YOUR A GOOD GUY JUST ALLITLE COCKY SOMETIMES.

Just a friendly tip! Dont use so much footage as a preview for the next video, as it essentially takes away the suspense of it if your viewers see most of what youve caught, try to show at least one catch then a suspenseful drop off of B Roll or an action shot! Again, just a friendly tip! Other than that the quality and production value of your videos is astounding! Keep up the great work!

Did my first Islander trip last June- Caught my first yellow tail off a kayak. It will be an annual trip for me. It was so fun- great company, awesome crew. I Love the swag give away's from sponsors- we had War Baits, and Shimano. Radio the skiff to get your catch or bring you a cheeseburger and a beer! Best Kayak Trip! ok, Baja is pretty nice too.

Robert, I started to watch your videos about a month ago and now Im looking to buy a kayak but dont know what to start off with. What would you recommend? And what kayak did you use in this video? I plan on going out to the open ocean as well

Cool! Did they restrict the consumption of freshwater during the trip? I'm thinking an 88' boat can only carry so much potable water for cooking, drinking, showers, etc.
Looking forward to the rest of the trip's videos.

Robert, just want to make certain, everybody brings all their own kayaks and gear?
By the way, I think your videos beat Chad's, not taking anything away from him, just think you deserved the win!

The ocean sunfish and opah are different I'm pretty sure; ) Look 'em up, Opah has red colours. Interestingly, I believe it is one of the only warm-blooded fish.
