If I can't see it, it doesn't count. Are tv's better than monitors? Hardware Unboxed suggested the best viewing device to be the Pixio PX277 Prime 1440p 165hz. These specs beat any tv today. The only downside being that it is 27 . I don't see that as the best way for the family to use the gpu with a viewing device. My feeling is that my wife would throw me out if I dared to say this was the best viewing device for our living room over a 4k120p 65 that spec'd at only 120hz. I am a htpc and gamer person. Any opinions?

Couldnt help to notice this card had the 6 polymer Cap configuration on the back side, where as my FTW3 Ultra has 4 polymer and 2 sets (20) MLCC. On air I get +180 core clock and +1000 Mem. havent tried pushing the Memory clocks further yet. +180 on core clock runs Port Royal no problems but did cause Time Spy to end with 0 score. 165 Works fine. I use +120 core clock and +750 Memory for gaming and absolutely zero issues so far and after many hours of gaming per session. Hit 2085 on core clock regularly.

This is a reviewer model that has the different capacitors, they later added one better one for Production Models... is it possible production models also have the thermal pads under the backplate?
When we never got a review on the card but we get a tear-down video, yeeeeeeeeeeeet
I want a full review on this card Steve, c'mon now :-P I already have one on the way (will be here Tuesday), I want to see what you guys got out of yours OC & performance wise :(

Hey there yt comments, i have a question:
Right now i have a ryzen 5 2600x on a b450 mortar board with an rtx 2070 super. Should i get the new 5000 series cpus that are coming out for ryzen along with a new motherboard or should i wait till the next generation that will require a new socket? On one hand, the gains that 5000 series shows looks promising, but the am4 socket will be heading out after 2020 i think, so Im not sure if i should get a 5k series cpu

At this point. I want to see the 6000 series FROM AMD.
Partner cards and off reference designs are basically old news. Power and turbo cores are give or take.
Founders is still rocking these 3rd party try hard.
3080 needs to find a place as a mid/mix level card. Nvidia founders is holding the best . 3rd party should be worried. DOnt buy other.. get the base line... ITS so good!!!

Please, please, please, Steve. Can you contact EVGA and convince them to release an official vBios with higher powerlimit(say 500-550w)for de OC bios? I really don t want to flash other brand vBIOS for 24/7 use. Talking about the 3090 FTW3 Ultra. I paid 2049 included 21% VAT for it and it s still not arrived in Europe. For that premium price I don t want to be power limited.

xbase cooler is solid. nice design. the main direct is lacking. over clocking and general boost is going to run into issues.
mod/custom cooling will help but power delivery is going to cut your score.
Pushing this card will be Painful. Best of luck. The FE will put it in the dirt. EVGA failed. 3rd party PCB sad. Cooling is good but I see no boost over FE.

such a lame design first time I have seen a back plate held with nuts normally a back plate should be held just by screws on the front side of the PCB which means you need to remove the Heatsink first before the back plate on a lot video cards and the lack of thermal pads on the back plate is also lame.

I would really like a low level test of a card like this, meaning what would be the difference if you put some thermal pads on the backplate and would it help to replace the granite thermal paste with a good one, what would really be the benefit to do small things like this?
