If AMD can make the multi chiplet GPU architecture working and the system sees it as one GPU with low latency hops between the chiplets, I think there is a possibility that we see gaming CPUs in a kind of Threadripper package boasting 12 cores 12 threads and an integrated GPU with HBM video memory that is also used as L4 cache by the CPU. The low latency access between each component and the high speed memory will make those gaming and productivity beasts, most likely surpassing any CPU and PCIe GPU system in performance and performance per watt. I also have a solution for the heat output: Direct die cooling by filling the gaps between the chips with high temperature and heat conducting resin, all ground flat to accept a cooler directly onto the dies.

You would have thought that at this point Intel should have gotten a completely new marketing-team... It seems they didn't. Let's see what next months will bring, especially now that we are approaching the GPU launches as well. How about the worlds FASTEST GPU in gaming (if you consider benchmark X in resolution Y and if you exclude competition xy).... But please don't misunderstand me - I really, honestly hope - that Intel get's back on it's horse - and also gets a real holding in the GPU market... Competition profits the users (no news I know)...

If the us government is going to be subsidising the chip makers for fab production when will the reduced costs of the end products, ie chips, be passed down to the people who are paying for the fab space? ie the customer. If the general populatation is paying for the place the companies make their products then why are those companies then allowed to charge over the odds for the products themselves? Hang on, are you telling me that not only did Intel use a mac in their advert but the also paid for the usage of the images they went with? hahahahahaha

The Millennial Man playing computer game at home doesn't seem to be enjoying the game he is playing in Image 1222829756,
I would feel the same as playing computer game at home where game is White screen, doesn't look anywhere near as fun as Pac-Steve collecting PC components & using Snowflakes for Boosters to catch all the G/N Ghosts named Andrew, Eric, Keegan & Patricks that increase in number with every level

Since that GPU smuggling story actually, there are a lot of issues with shipping from China, lot of people experienced their goods being seized by Chinese export customs and never shipped out abroad lol
I feel like Chinese customs is currently cracking down on everything which could be potentially used for crypto-mining or they increased their controls to the next level lol

Why would SC manufacturers build fabs with their own money when governments like the US and EU are lining up to pay them to do it?
Seriously though, setting it production outside of their home countries would probably be a pain in the ass, so I can see why they would expect a lot of money to do so.

Really hope it isn't another vulnerability which requires physical access. It is intel and amd's fault for not protecting my data once data thiefs BREAK INTO my server rooms. It is totally the cpu manufacturers' fault and not mine if my data gets stolen in that scenario.

As soon as you mentioned the DDR1 on the mod mat, i had the idea for another one targeted towards retro computer enthusiast with SIMM, 5,52 drives and ISA cards. As someone who grew up in the 486/Pentium era, i would buy 10 of them.
