Utterly underestimated the tadk. Why say this is the menu when each type of fire looks when none of the 6 here of different types apnd years look like that. Why not show the actual appearance in relevant languages. LET'S FACE IT doing it from the ENGLISH is nothing. The Japanese one is confusing even s J speaker who asked me for help but I did better just going through mine. THis page entirely underestimates the task and does it badly.

My keyboard only shows japanese as the option ..it has english letters but types in japanese characters on the screen! This is after jailbreaking btw...I've returned it to factory settings for now till I figure this issue out.

thanks to you I could change my dad's kindle fire from Chinese back to English. I hadn't a clue what the settings were saying, but by counting down the menus I could find the right setting to change the language

Is there a way to change languages WITHOUT going into settings? My son is autistic and loves changing the language but he's in Freetime mode on his Fire which restricts access to Settings.

This won't help me because my kid changed this tablet to Japanese (at least that's what I think it is. I don't know what I'm looking at because it just looks like scribble

How do you change it from Chinese to English? I have no idea what Chinese words I tap to open the screen to change the language?
