Hello Derek, I agree with you. I think no-one have the worth for right distro or de.. Is that I'm try to do, I'm looking my right distro my right de, my right setup. However I'm open wide with guys like you, that have more experience than me to put me in the right way to how I must learn to make something and not to choose the distro. I try arcolinux and is good but is not working well on my hardware and my skills, patience. I learn and try something else. I flashed my router with an open firmware and to do that I have used Ubuntu. I don't like Ubuntu, but in this case it helps me a lot -
Cheers, Fabbri

I get some criticism about my favorite distro, because it doesn't have a lot of features that most distros have. Some people say to me oh that distro sucks because it doesn't have whatever their distro has, or they can't figure out what to install in it to make it work, but I don't care. My distro of choice is of course Tiny Core.

I only really got into linux so i could do more with what I had, tinkering is the best part!! Then I went a bit crazy and intentionally limited myself to the bare minimum hardware for most of highschool I had a laptop with a pentium and 24mb of ram dual booting debian and a very stripped down windows xp.

Wonder what you think about BSD licensed software. I find it even worse then proprietary software. At least proprietary license recognise the work of the collaborator. BSD just steals someone's work, by closing to source, making money out of it, and do not give anything back to collaborator.

Sad thing about you DT is I asked questions in your chat's and was banned w/o reason or notice.
So, yea, to me, your opinions are worthless to me.
The only reason I'm here is because it was a suggested video.
And no, I didn't thumb either way.

Its probably because these people are new to Linux and are overwhelmed with the amount choice. Having choice is a great thing. If you are new to Linux just try out a lot of distros/software/window managers till you find something that works for you.

Hello DT Your opinions are worth like gold and it even helped me to try wm, please keep doing the good work for open source.
I have just one doubt how to enable transparency in i3wm.
I tried many tweaks nothing worked.

It-s what is amazing and powerful about Linux, The choice to use what you want, like you want, and specially adapted your computer to yourself and your own specific usage..
Think by yourself and don-t be an Apple.

PS. Whilst I do try some of the distributions that you recommend, you would still have to prise Gentoo Linux from my cold, dead hands - been with Gentoo since 2003 and no signs of leaving it yet.

Derek, keep digging on the window managers and keep showing us less known command line, ncurses and even gui apps that you think are interesting and curious.
