How to Sort Tables in Microsoft Word Lesson 13 - The Teacher
In this Microsoft Word Tutorial, you will learn how to sort word tables. The video will cover all the options available under the Sort of Layout Tab. You will also learn the Then By option to sort a table using multiple columns. The Then By option applies when your table has duplicate records.
When you are done adding data into a word table, you might want to sort it. Microsoft Word offers you various methods of sorting a table. You can sort an entire table or if your table has headings and total rows, then you can use the Header Rows options and can let the first and last row intact.
Lastly, you will learn to sort the table with separators in a single column. Like if a column has values separated using Tabs, Commas, or any other punctuation mark, then Word can help you to sort that column as well
Christopher: The highligthing of the table for sorting works great until the highlighting goes across a section break on the next page. Is there a fix for that? Date: 2022-03-31
