Good review. I've been using this microphone for almost 4 years. I would highly recommend it for singing vocals or singing to backing tracks. The mic. is very sturdy as I've let it fall by mistake on two occasions. I've noticed that when connecting to Windows 10 the audio levels have to be set pretty high. This did not happen on previous versions of windows. Like all u.s.b. microphones the post editing after recording can really make it sound way better...This microphone can be used as an external mic. for your phone. All you need is a little O.T.G. cable & a free app. called Open Camera. You will notice immediately the improvement v your phone internal mic. I also have a Blue Snowball which does not work with my phone. Hope the above may be of benefit to some folks out there.

Bought Rode NT-USB. Did not work correctly from the beginning. Connecting to PC ok, but not working or working very poorly, loosing connection. It turned out that the supplied USB cable (very long 6m) is the cause of the problems. I have measured the cable charactereistics (I have oscilloscope etc.) and it does not comply to USB specifications. Not even fully compliant with USB 1.1.Full Speed (12mbit/s). Shame for company with such reputation to include such poor cables. Bought another USB cable and it works.

Watched this video to get a good idea of the microphone for podcasting and streaming, this really helped my decision. I'll probably get a boom swivel mount and a shock mount too.
Good review, thanks man.

I prefere the Rode to the Blue Yeti from all the reviews I-ve seen, but the blue yeti has the possibility to have stereo sound, to make interviews, etc. Not only a cardioid sound. That-s why I-m hesitating a lot

Thank you for the review. I like it that you used the microphone stand provided in the package, so that I could see how it would look like in front of the computer.

I find the mic to be sensitive to pick up sound from literally anywhere and anything, downstairs etc. It's also sensitive to my voice, it clips fast.
