Also, on covering your camera, I had always heard that the camera indicator light is connect to the camera directly, so that the camera canNOT be turned on without you knowing it. There are caveats where it is theoretically possible to hack the camera for a split second, long enough to take a photo and transmit it to a remote server or attacker's computer, such that you wouldn't recognize the brief light turning on. That does not touch on remote microphone activations.
While Little Snitch, in my opinion, is tedious unless you're an IT person who specializes in macOS and its processes, I recommend MicroSnitch, from the same developer. All it does is watermark your screen when either the camera or microphone is turned on. Tje watermark goes away when the device is turned off, but it also logs each event.

I'll add one more thing regarding Siri. Ticking that enable Siri check box off only means that you cannot use Siri. To not let Siri learn from the apps you have, you have to click on System Preferences > Siri > Siri Suggestions & Privacy and go through each and every app listed there and tick off the check box that says learn from this app.
I also do the same thing after every app I install or update, and also after every system update. Sometimes, I do notice that it gets enabled by default for new or updated apps. Otherwise Siri can still use your data, only that you can't use Siri.

I don't even use mac but the fact they have an option to not allow certain programs to fetch files honestly puts it above Windows for privacy in my eyes, I just wish there was a -done way- to find out if Mac or Windows is better for privacy. I know in Michael Bazzell's book -What it takes to disappear- he mentions that he always recommends his clients to use Mac-OS even if its not on a native mac piece of hardware (Hackintosh) I wonder if that's because of the ease of use and more programs that Mac-OS has rather then Linux or if Mac-OS really is more private then Windows.

Make a video on how to protect Privacy( everything single thing can be surveilled if govt wishes) in India. Freedom of speech in danger.
The new IT-Rules suck! They're providing back doors to almost every single service and Big boi companies have already agreed to that(twitter is arguing tho)
Democracy is already dead in India, and now Privacy. It really hurts to see nerds who get brainwashed everytime the Govt. shouts whatever it wishes in the asses of nerds in the name of national integrity/security even if their intention is not but surveillance.

hey I wonder if you have a video on this or suggestion; Most pages I visit, I get -your connection is not secure- error. Ive tried 6 different browsers, cleared cache on all of them. Cleared cache via terminal (mac 10. 11. Also I cannot see the previews on Opera when you search videos. Like you know when you have a bunch of videos listed? I can't see the poster or the preview. Any ideas?

Small tip for people looking for more advance firewall offerings. MacOS has OpenBSD's PF firewall built in and you can install a number of different open source interfaces to use it.

Bitwarden is probably the best password manager for iOS users (and Android users too. Not only can it store passwords but for $10 a year customers can use Bitwarden as a 2FA app.

People on the privacy subreddit keep on telling me that Startpage was not good to use because it was sold to an ad company or something?
