Stingray (IMSI Catcher) - Who's Spying on Your Phone - Part 2 - Rob Braxman Tech This video is part 2 of the Who's Spying on Your Phone Series. This contribution specifically addresses the Stingray device, otherwise generally classified as an IMSI catcher, and discusses how it works, what kinds of attacks are done with it. And who can wield features similar to Stingray. There are other versions of Stingray like Kingfish and other seemily innocuous ocean creatures. But this term is used to generally classify this type of device. The original device was made for 2G and later 3G and there certainly has to be 4G models. Hacking using an IMSI Catcher device is also discussed using radio transmitters like BladeRF, USRP, and Hacker one. WYTROSE: My state has been doing this for years and had a PBS documentary on it. However they are misusing it. They rerouted, dropped calls. Burnout my phone. Changed my password. Because I went got log ins to see. I copied them so I can see it was them. I have not been proper dignoisis with cancer and they have been making sure I don't get ahold of anyone FCC before I figured it out. . Feds agents, CMS. I live in a small town. so they even put malware on imaging CDs and ruined my laptop. Burnout 3 phones. if I try to get protection. Like VPN numbers.

Thanks, your efforts are appreciated. it's important to -disable access- to any apps that wants to access your location anytime you're on a site or using a mobile app that requires location tracking. Text messages, call history or shall I say call log is available on the phone itself. But this log can be deleted and it stores calls up to a certain period only. The most detailed text/call history can be found online with Global investigations (info-kenhowardpi. com) phone hacking and spying as well as monitoring. If you have access to the account of the phone number. Most service providers provide detail call log including SMS sent, calls made and time of data usage. A rough location of these exchanges is given too.

hello,
I have a question -
is the mobile service providers can spy on users? -
is they can Intercepting GSM traffic like (Calls, SMS, Users Locations? -
without put a fake BTS on area and without using all spying devices like IMSI Catcher

Is it possible to protect yourself from this type of tracking with a SIM card in? It-s creepy that this can be done by governments and hackers. Does degoogling work?

Rob, thank you. Love learning technology. ps my Usps is always so slow in delivering my packages. waiting on yours. I'm tracking it.

Thanks Rob! I wonder, would that work-in-progress app you showed us a few months ago help mitigate some of these attacks?

IMSI catchers don't currently have the ability to
break the encryption like Signal, Tutanota, ProtonMail etc. thats what i think.
