Do motherboard manufactures really believe that customers willing to pay 6 to 12 thousand dollars on a threadripper system are wanting to buy shitty motherboards like that one with that hello kitty look on it and 12 years old yoyo disco lights. no thanks ill rather go and buy dual EPYC on a supermicro motherboard rather than have that piece of shit at my workplace. no one in the pro industry would take you seriously if u had that piece of shit in ur machine, you would lose clients and contracts, simply because they will think you are not a serious guy. Id really love to invest in this threadripper cpu, but if i have to keep a cheap machine, ill stick with my intel on a serious WS motherboard, that no one can be ashamed to put on their desk rather than that piece of MSI PlayStation victim kinds junk.
DEAR AMD YOU BETTER talk to Your Motherboard partners and tell them to seriously put their act together, because You already lost billions in sales because there are no decent motherboards for Your XEON killer cpus, and from what i can tell You gonna lose even more this coming year.
AND please dont YOu ever again showcase a cooler master CPU cooler for these CPUS, it is really offensive to Us tax payers.
Good Luck selling threadripper 2 to You tubers and teenagers. live long and prosper.

Ok this is more of a publicity stunt and a way to sink the Intel 9th gen if Zen 2 is as good as I think it will be. Because we know you will have the Zen 2 Epyc CPUs ready by Q4 2018, so you basically have the dies for Zen 2 mainstream but in super limited quantity where you wouldn't want to launch it.
Wouldn't it be kind of cool first to do a Zen 2 preview with a limited number of Tech Tubers, a small number of benchmarks so you can show off how Zen 2 stands up against Intel's 9th gen in October, let them test other stuff, but not actually allow them to give numbers, but to be able to give the viewer a general idea of how representative the tests are.
Then also at the same time announce a give away of 1000 Zen 2 CPUs with motherboards that are special edition CPUs with a different name like K7 Anniversary edition, start the draw in November end the draw in December / January, send them out in January / February.
So these are only people in the world apart from a limited number of tech tubers, motherboard manufacturers, people who build servers who actually have a Zen 2 CPU as I expect you plan to launch mainstream Zen 2 in April / May to build up sufficient volume at let motherboard guys send out the motherboards with up dated BOIS.

I've been Intel ride or die since I put my first computer together back in 1998. But. as of late, I'm swaying on my loyalties of team blue and thinking of building my next system with red. Would that be a mistake or are my suspicions of Intel recycling old tech to -compete- a real reason to switch over? I've been waiting for any real change from Intel ever since the Coffee Lake launch but, I haven't been impressed from what I've been seeing or hearing. I know this isn't the proper forum for this question but, I want real answers from real enthusiasts.

What percentage of applications really take advantage of all these cores? I know games don-t in general. And most adobe/content applications have limitations. So, after the benchmarks are over is it worth it.

Please tell me how to update the bios of an X399 motherboard if I do not have an AMD Threadripper 1950X (generation 1) It is a serious problem (made with a Google translator, from Mexico, greetings)

don't how to say but does packaging have any performance effect. this packaging could have saved 20-40 dollar! dear amd please provide option for packaging while buying and save my 20 dollars.

The cpu is awesome and I like the way AMD reanimated the pc market with good but affordable stuff. But honestly the package contains too many materials just for show without any usage.

It's a bit of a shame they use a camera that is so slow to focus: very annoying indeed. Otherwise, thanks for the video, that big box at the beginning was hilarious!

So I really didn't want to upgrade from Ryzen 1st Gen to Threadripper 2nd Gen. I really wanted to wait until 3rd gen, you guys are making it really hard.

AMD packaging is truly impressive, it makes me want to buy a ThreadRipper just to get one of those boxes. Even their normal Ryzen boxes look really nice.
