people keep saying that this is a budget tablet this thing is $762 with the cover and the pen without taxes from Best Buy thats not budget to me. Also this is not a primary device if you don't have another computer to use I would say this isn't for you go buy a real laptop first. this is that 2nd device you take on day trips you don't need it to be powerful or to lay in bed and watch Netflix then I may see use of the 64Gb version but if your a person who stores things on your devices or has apps and programs you like thats going to end up getting a bit tight in a hurry with 1/3 of it being eaten by windows realistically after a few weeks of use and updates I could see myself having the 128Gb over half full maybe more if I put my Spotify play lists on it and start taking photos of places I went/sharing things from my iPhone for upload thats why its not a primary device to me. the idea of the 10- is to be there when you need it and taking notes with it is one of the best things I've seen it do but the pen is extra and the so is the type cover a must for windows. Microsoft was trying to hide the real price like they do with all the surface line by breaking up the package it should be to make the price more palatable because no one in their right mind would look at a pentium device with 4Gb of ram and 64Gb of storage for $600 just because you threw in the pen and silly floppy keyboard it needs to have.

I'm sorry, I guess because I'm not -mobile- enough? (I work as an IT tech for -corporate-) I don't see a need for these? I'm sure they're invaluable for those like yourself that might have to hop on a train or plane at a moment's notice to cover a story, or to get the inside scoop on something, but for an IT professional like myself? These things are not worth the price of admission. And when you throw on the fact that they're pushing it with a -crippled- version of Windows? Yeah, no thanks! It might be larger, and a bit heavier? But my Lenovo ThinkPad T450's and T460's will cover anything I need them to do, without a funky on-screen keyboard, or the potential to -lose- a pen. not to mention I get more storage space (1TB-T450 / 2TB-T460) but I get a longer battery life (due to the extended batteries I purchased) PLUS I get the reliability, and durability of one of the best made devices in mobile technology. but as I said. I'm sure these devices will appeal to someone who needs those features.

Can someone please help me to decide which tablet should i buy
1. Samsung galaxy tab S4
2. Galaxy tab A
3. Galaxy tab S5e
4. Apple ipad pro 12. 9
5. new apple ipad mini
6. New apple ipad air
7. Microssoft surface go
8. New Surface pro 6
The tablet should have keyboard and pen with it. It should have expandable memory. It should have enough memory for video editing and photo editing softwares, for taking pictures, for daily use, for watching videos and movies, for listening music, for reading books, on which tablets can i work for more than 10 hours on multiple programs without worrying about tablet getting hanged and with which tablet i can work with external hard disk and pen drives and can be easily carried with us anywhere on any trip.

Oh and Windows home 10s can be upgraded to Windows Home full version for free! So you don't have to be restricted to Windows 10 S mode. 10 S mode is mostly for schools, businesses and people for some reason in 2018 who still have no idea how to use Windows 10. The whole 10 S mode gives you better performance in my opinion is just an excuse Microsoft uses to prop up their Windows app Store because most people was ignoring it. So you can keep your Chrome apps and anything else you're trying to install.

I went to the store and tried it out.
It is sloooooooow. Even the SSD version.
The Pentium inside would be good enough for an Android or an iOS os but the bloated Windows 10 os struggles. Javascript saturated web sites crawl.
Keep in mind just to boot a Windows 10 takes about 1. 5GB to 2GB and is littered with processes.
I recommend nothing less than a core m3, 8GB RAM and SSD for Windows 10.
It is an inefficient OS. And using the screen keyboard is not like iOS and Android.

Just got mine and first impressions are great. Got the 128 4g LTE 8gb version.
Love the size factor, I upgraded a few software items and did all the updates and I am loving it.
Got the type cover and the pen so next will be the mouse.
This is the travel device and the one I'll take to work so looking forward to putting it through its paces.

4: 40 It-s hard to argue that. WHAT? So I buy a Windows tablet for flexibility, options to use what ever browser, apps I want but Microsoft is in the right, when they say that I shouldn-t use anything but S mode and expect it to run well.

1: 30 - $1800, wow! And my gaming laptop was $800. My iPad was $120. My Apple Pencil was $50. I even have an Apple TV for mirroring that iPad for free with the $19 Apple Remote. I prefer premium build at affordable cost.
