Intel is just throwing Desktop level CPU's in These Few Laptop's! And when they are really tested they will be closer to a 100/125 Watt Desk Top TDP Just to say they push 15 more Frames than AMD, ALSO aT aN Intel Price! AMD is giving all of us Intel performance for Less at the end of the day! And if you can't get behind AMD GPU's and CPU's at 7NM and power saving's along with the faster cores per IPC. Then You can't be reasoned with in any way ever like Trump, Intel Fan Boy's.

It' funny how the guys are bending over backwards to say positive things about this Intel chips. We all know the higher clock chips will ONLY appear on 5 lb + gaming laptops. The thin laptops will only get the 6 and 4 core chips. AMD will have 8 core chips by comparison. And who knows what the price difference will be too. Again, we all know the Intel chips will be more expensive. Curious to see what the actual battery life will be too.

Intel following in the footsteps of Matrox. Arrogant, proud of a single feature, re-re-re-re-re-releasing the same old thing with minor tweaks and obsolete technology. That -most games are single-threaded- also sounds like the 3dFX -16bit colors are enough for anyone-. Maybe nVidia ends up buying the silicon part of Intel, leaving them with software products only.

I am just stunned by the 100 degrees Celsius on a laptop! I remember hot hot my HP Envy 3090nr laptop got with the Ivy Bridge CPU. Not sure how wise it is for Intel to release such CPUs. I mean, we would never accept such high temperatures on a discrete GPU, that turned AMD into the hot n loud meme.

It'd be great if we could get an i5, high clocked and a 2080/2070. Most games don't utilize the extra threads, and Id rather spend the money on the GPU rather than the CPU.
I5-6 Core 5 GHz
16GB
1 TB NVME
8 GB 2070 Super
17- 1440p IPS - 144 hz
For $1200-1300.

Mark certainly won't install Linux instead of Windows, will he. :p Alaina, I am going to make a nice tutorial for you to make it easy. I will start with within a few weeks, easy install, easy setup for gaming, some terminal basics, benchmark-tool, all that you need.

You guys are really impressed about a notebook CPU running at 100 degrees Celsius? I think the new -thermal velocity boost- is pure marketing, and basically will never be seen for longer than 2-3 seconds.

Folks whatever you do, do not buy a Max-Q variant laptop. It's just trash and waste of money. Mobile 2080 Max-Q is slower than the mobile RTX 2070. Purchase or even wait for the non Max-Q versions.

Gordon always brings that energy, says something to kick off discussion, and then just silence from the group. I would blame it on teleconferencing but it happened in the studio too.

If I have the chance to get a red devil 5700 for 350$ and be able to unlock it to xt performance almost should I do that or sink 370 into a 2060 super for ray tracing
