pc gamer for most of my life and this -so much more can be done with pc- is stuff I do on my phone now, so it bothers me when people use it in videos like tech around us has not advanced. anyways, I never liked the budget pc experience ever! because it just was never better than a console imo while it still came with all the updates, driver issues, stability issues, bios updates for major fixes at times etc. Cause when you DIY it's not if you get a problem it's when. Sometimes it's not even your fault! (AMD drivers issues anyone)
I have always thought of pc gaming as a no compromise solution you pay big money $$$ to play the best version. my advice if you cant go big (at least midrange come on) don't go at all. building these -budget- pc's are just not good value and a horrible way to experience -PC Gaming- unless you're just playing e-sport games Like league then sure fine w/e still a bad experience imo. In my mind if you were ok with compromises this bad from the start, then why wouldn't you just get a console. the ps5 and Xbox series x are really good and FAR better than this pc. probably gonna get hate but w/e.

-you can't edit videos on a console- sharefactory says hello. I can even edit videos on my smartphone xD. PC is basically useless now you can do anything a PC can on other devices, the only reason to get a PC nowadays is high end gaming PC otherwise you are better off with a tablet laptop or smartphone. Personally I have no interest in paying 1000 dollars or more for high end gaming, I'm still happy playing ff14 on my ps4 and I'll be more happy playing it on ps5 when I can get hold of one. Literally the only reason I'm getting ps5 is cleaner visuals and FPS + faster load times on Ff14 since it's literally all I play these days aside from the occasional single player RPG. I have 0 interest in 4k or current gen graphics but I can sense my ps4s life is dwindling so need to make the jump asap xD. Gameplay > graphics. But if I did want graphics I definitely wouldn't do this trash pc build xD

People buy a console to play games: P like when you're on you're computer, you don't use word pad or windows media player to play you're games: ) because its not its use, there programmes for the PC like its natural use. Before gaming PC's there was none and consoles were a thing like nintendo sega and even more before: ) yes computers may be stonger but to have to keep up with pieces every year just for gaming well -$$$$$$$$$- it is: ) a console you game with it thats all you have ur phone and a laptop that wait what the same as a PC so yeah people buy a console for games not to calculate 1+1= 2: )

I dont agree on -you can always upgrade-. I have 10 years old pc, I wanted to upgrade gpu but my mother board is pcie2 and yet new models are pcie4. In order to use newer gpu I need to change mother board, and then I have to change cpu and ram sticks with ddr4 ones. So upgrading a pc is not as easy as adding ssd, when you -upgrade- basicly you build a brand new pc.
Also thanks to the miners gpu prices are sky high)
You can get 2 consoles with the money you would spend on rtx2070

you can't throw the -you can do so much aside from games- card on here since the main premise on why one would decide which system to purchase is TO PLAY GAMES. No one considers a console for editing or office work.
So the short answer to the question of whether a console can outperform a gaming PC on a similar budget is a resounding yes - that budget won't even pass that PC as a gaming PC. More like an excel spreadsheet build tbh.

I tel everyone pc is better cause when I made the switch from ps4 to pc I had an experience I knew genuine gamers would be obsessed with and absolutely addicted to. Not gonna explain what or why cause I-m sure many console people have gotten aggressive pc users belittling them. If you-re ever in the position or realm of wanting to buy a pc, I urge you to try it because it-s truly unmatched.

The PS5 is $400 and it comes with a controller. The $500 one comes with controller and 4K blu ray drive. If you-re building a Pc to compete with the $500 PS5 than your Pc needs to also include the 4K blu ray drive as well. Not to mentions either a controller or keyboard.
Edit: for $400, a ps5 will outperform any $400 Pc ever.

Newsflash: Console producers don't produce consoles for under $500. It costs them MORE. They lose money with each sale, and profit from game and subscription sales. if you want an apples-apples build cost comparison, give yourself $800. All of these types of videos are moot and void simply on this fact.

I have an Xbox series x, with a 4K 144hz monitor (acer predator xb3 273k) my setup is way ahead of its time but as games come out 4K at 120 frames is gonna be top shelf quality for at least the next 6 years. plus the series x and ps5 can get 8k at 60 frames.

U can buy a 500$ PC with integrated CPU graphics and, then, in a few months, boom, you buy a 200$ graphics and you blast the PS5 to smithereens. And, in the long run, you will still spend less money than u would with the PS5.
