Hi I'm new to pc gaming and I could use some advice about upgrading. My specs are intel core i7-9700k - 3. 60GHz, 16GB ram, nvidia geforce rtx 2060 super and a 1080p 144hz monitor. I just purchased a new 4k 120hz TV for use with ps5 but I'm thinking of upgrading my pc instead of buying console. I want to hook the pc up to the new TV. My question is if I get the rtx 3080 would my pc be able to push 4k to my TV at 120fps or do I need to upgrade cpu and ram too? Or should I just go with my original ps5 plan and stick with my 1080p monitor for my pc games? Any help will be greatly appreciated

Might be worth mentioning some Etailers, possibly only Newegg is doing this haven't really checked, are doing -Black November- and offering -Black Friday Price Protection- on various components. Basically you can buy between now and November 22nd, then if the price drops even more before November 30th they'll automatically refund you the difference.

Does anyone know that if retailers such as Microcenter have a firesale on certain AMD cpus, does this mean that AMD reduces their wholesale prices to these retailers and then these retailers pass their savings to consumers, or does the wholesale price was the same and the retailers just sell the CPUs at a smaller profit?

upgrade! You can't it's all sold out. GPU. CPU. latest and greatest are sold out for the next 2 years at least. releasing nvidia 30 series GPU's at maybe 50 a week for millions of buyers. Hmmm.

Me still trying to figure out whether I should wait till new ryzen cpu series and nvidia gpu become readily available for the older ones to get cheaper or just buy the older ones now

Bring up Microcenter for people who do not live in a state with one is boooooooo. Half of the products they do not allow online shopping for shipping out to customers.

I would say -be careful and definitely double check pricing-. I think there will be a lot of price gouging from 3rd party sellers because of the human malware.

Thoughts on getting a pre-built workstation/gaming system with the 5950X? I really need to replace my cpu and run a more stable system w/o the downtime.

G-Sync 'compatible' monitors should honestly cost more, as you can use them with either manufacture's card, as opposed to being locked in: )

If you want a secondary display, Asus has fantastic 16: 10 Full HD (1200p) monitors. Use it along side my dell ultrasharp.
