Just bought an Intel i5 10400 today with MB for USD 200. its a H410 Mb but i still see no need to spend an additional USD150 for a Z motherboard. Besides the H410 will be enough plus the CPU is not meant for overclocking. Got a sec. hand 1070 to pair with it and 16GB 3200Mhz and 500GB ssd. A nice MATX case and a 600W psu, total costing USD 630.
Forget about future proofing when at present proofing is non existent for AMD cpus and ANY decently priced display cards. If i paid for new AMD 5600 and RTX 3060ti and i can buy another new PC in 2 years for the money i saved now

Man, I can not contiue to listen after 2min 15sec. No soft spot! AMD biggest soft spot is the -Intel pricing-. Man, there is no Zen3 under 440USD! In retail shops with VAT in EU. No, thank you! . xD

here in my country:
10400f is at 150-
when 3600x is at 210-
the new 5600x is 360- so not worth it
for the budget market:
10100f is at 85-
while 3100 is at 120- (which is worse than the 10100f)
& the 3300x which is about equal in gaming, costs 150- (with intel you can get a 10400f for that)

Intel did built in a lot of backdoors for NSA and step by step they were detected by the Chinese; Russians and criminal hackers, probably now AMD will be obliged to do more by the US government.

AMD Ryzen- 5 3600 is 180 euro Intel Core i5-10400 is 170 euro
AMD Ryzen 5 5600X is 338 euro Intel Core i5-10600KF is 210 euro
